Favorite
Probably my favorite course in North Florida. If you’re thinking about it, go play it. You’ll love it !
Bring a rake
such a gem faaaast greens, roll real true.
The course is heavily bunkered and RTJ knows how to lure you in em.
If it's windy this course can be a brute, but just a lot of fun. My only beef, keep the marshalls out there pushing thru the lar 3's, and keep all that sand raked, it's tuff enough without bad lies!
The jones course is in excellent condition and far easier than the hills course. If you are a low handicap and have a choice pick the hills. Higher handicap players will like jones as the fairways are forgiving and greens large. The bunkers become more difficult as the day progresses as the sun dries them out and they become like beach sand. The practice area and restaurant are very good. Warm up, tee up and fill up- LPGA has it all and is a great place to play.
excellent course conditions - slow play a problem
Course is in great shape ......past 2 weekends play was extremely slow.
Love this course
I generally play the LPGA International Jones Course every time I am in the area. I love the course layout, and the conditions are usually pretty good. When I played yesterday, I found that the greens were in good shape, rolling smooth and fast. Fairways were also in really good shape. Bunkers were raked and in good shape too (I found way more than my fair share). As others have mentioned, the tee boxes are chewed up in spots. This could be from not moving them around enough, and the bermuda not really growing fast enough yet.
The layout is great for the average golfer. Generally wide fariways that if you miss leave you with an awkward lie or angle. Generally large, but elevated greens, alot of sand and few forced carries. It looks like a links course, but the ball does not run out like a links and most of the greens are elevated so, not really a bump and run type course. I will also say, it is much easier than the Hills Course at LPGA.
Hole 1 is a medium length par 4. There is water left, but plenty of room right. But also large mounds and a bunker right should you bail out too far.
Hole 2 is a long straight par 4. Mounds and a bunker left but its a pretty open hole.
Hole 3 is a medium length par 3. Bunkers left and right of the green.
Hole 4 is a relatively short par 4 with a large elevated green.
Hole 5 is the first par 5, relatively short, with water coming into play on the right and getting closer as you move to the green.
Hole 6 is a short par 3 to a relatively well guarded elevated green. Water right and short.
Hole 7 is a longer par 4.
Hole 8 is a medium length par 4, also one of the tighter holes on the course, with mounds left and trees right.
Hole 9 is a long par 5. Pretty wide fairway and not much trouble other than the length.
10 is a short par 4. But the green sits up like a table top. So anything that misses is well below the green.
11 is a medium length par 4 with a marsh carry off the tee.
12 is another medium length par 4, there is way more room to the right that there appears off the tee.
13 is a really long par 5. Pretty wide fairway, but it always plays really tough on me for some reason.
14 is a medium length par 3, protected by water and sand short and left.
15 is a long straight away par 4.
16 is a relatively short par 5. Plenty of room out to the right and a pond you cant really see on the left.
17 is a medium length par 3 with water left and short.
18 is a long par 4 finishing hole. Water left, and bunkers right. Its 388 from the white tees, but take a look at it from the back tees as you drive around!
All in all a great layout, and a fun course! Also a great practice facility. So get there in time to take advantage of it!
Go to course especially for non Floridians
Great user friendly course. The Hills course is better for single digit HDCP’s. Sometimes during a rainy day prior, this course can be cart path only. Luckily for us things drained very well and that was not an issue. Mostly a north / south orientation so easterly/westernly winds are OK. Have played it 2-3 times a year for past 11yrs although it’s a 45MIN ride. Cart girl may or may not show up consistently.
Nice course in Daytona Beach area
Played here a dozen times in the past. Pace of play is rather slow due to foursomes vs. twosomes on course. Never seen a Marshall out on the course monitoring pace. Course usually in great shape except when it rains. Drainage is poor because it’s not a sandy course and when it’s wet, cart path only/90 degree rules go into effect quite often. Employees usually very helpful.. Hills course way more difficult than the Jones course and would recommend it for single digit handicap players.
Great courses conditions . Tees, fairways and greens all have nice grass.
Worst management club
No carts available...no ice ..stuck behind 5 gropes of party golfers..no marshall no starts ..really a jungle..toilette dirty men's clubhouse...had to push cart to finish ..this is not a first here a lpga .shame on you .worst management in golf ...who s the owner ..he must be blind and stupid...you carrying the name LPGA act like prestige.
Golf course is great
Always great
A treat to play a course in great condition. Little slow pace of play due to an "outing" in the groups ahead.
Needs a little TLC but great courses
Long-time patron of LPGA. Love both courses and will continue to play there regularly...but a couple small things. Some of the tee boxes need a facelift.
Also...please put some sand in the traps. Other than that... top flight courses, great staff, well run. I'll be back ASAP
