LPGA Jones Course was wet and cart path only
The LPGA Jones course is a very good track and is typically meticulously maintained. It’s a moderately tough track but easier than the LPGA hills course. Only caveat is it does not drain as well is other golf courses in the area. There was significant rain the day before which impacted play since there was standing water in several locations and in many bunkers. It was cartpath only. Highly recommend this course unless there’s been recent rain then I would play Victoria Hills or other courses that drain exceedingly well.
Best course within 60 of Daytona!
Enjoyable meeting your starter Walter. He controled the pace of play and informed us of issues of the day. Great clubhouse staff too. Fairways perfect, Thanks you grounds maintenance. See you again!
Very disappointing
First we met the cart boy, the bartender and especially the man in the pro shop, no personalities what so ever, I’ve gotten better welcomes from a funeral home.
The snack shack on the course between 9’s that had a huge “snacks” sign up, turned out to be a gym of some sought. Also very disappointing, seeing that there was no cart girl for the whole 16 holes we played, I say 16 because our cart died on the 16 green, again very disappointing, u would think a course that Carries the name “LPGA International” would have a much higher standard with every part of there operation.
Would not go back, would not recommend and I expected so much more the a “LPGA” course.
Great condition and layout
Course was in great condition, greens were smooth and above average quick. Pace of play was on the slow side, ranger was in course but did not appear to do anything about it. Snack bar was closed at the turn and restaurant service was slow (very busy). They did not have carts avail when we arrived which made getting to the range difficult.
Will return to check out the other course soon.
Greens rolling true and fast
I really enjoyed this course, I would have given it 5 stars if not for some of the tee boxes, they were chewed up and uneven, I played the white tees and by the looks of it they were the most used tees on the course.
The fairways and especially the greens were in great shape. I would definitely play this course again
Excellent course
Always enjoy playing the lpga ( either course)
Conditions were excellent facilities top notch
Perfect Weather
Great day to play golf. Wish my score was as perfect. Pace was excellent on front nine, went to heck on back.
Still didn’t spoil our round too much.
The chicken Cesar wrap after the round was excellent, as was the server. Still my favorite course to play in Daytona.
Gorgeous course but…
Played the Slammer and Squire today and the course is wonderful. However, my tee time was 4:04 pm with a sunset at 7:40 pm. Asked if we could finish in the light and was told yes! But is was obvious the course over scheduled too many tee times in the late afternoon/ early evening to finish 18 holes. Pace of play was about 15 -18 minutes per hole. Got the feeling that World Golf was seeing a chance to make money in the late day with no thought to having people play 18! Shame on them! My past experiences with World Golf have been great but no excuse for this pace of play!
Disappointed
After reading reviews I was aware of course issues but our 4some still decided to give it a shot. Upon arrival there was no one to greet us at the bag drop. When someone did appear, they told us there weren't any carts available yet. When we did get carts, they were dirty and missing scorecards. We got to the starter and were told they were running late (15mins) We finally teed off and waited on every hole. Our round lasted 5+ hours and both of our carts died going up the 18th fairway. We noticed workers driving carts onto the course and asked for help, but they told us there were 5 other carts on the course they needed to get to first. We grabbed our bags and walked up 18 to finish. When we walked to our car, we told the workers our carts died and were in the middle of 18. No apology, no nothing, just "OK thanks". Nice course but sorely mis managed. Tee times bunched up too close, no supervision and not worth the long and frustrating day to play this course.
Great Fun
Pretty open and good shape. Lots of sand. Guess that's Florida!
Great Public Golf
I played the LPGA Jones course last year too, and the Hills course as well. This is a great facility, and until the end of the round, when I went to the men's room and saw the state of it, I almost forgot I was at a facility open to the public. Clean the toilets! The course itself is in great shape considering the amount of play it gets. It's challenging, but not as challenging as the Hills course, which is one of the hardest you'll play. I will complain about the pace of play. There were people in front of us who had nowhere to go. However, it seems to me that there are a lot of sporadic play golfers here, or people who play only a few times while vacationing. With my HI, I should never be one of the better golfers on the course. the round took 4:50. Too long.
AMAZING
This is truly the best course in Volusia and Flager county. I play twice a week and am strongly considering this course to become a member. It never disappoints!
