Course needs work!

The overall condition of the course was terrible. Many tees and fairways badly need grass. Basic maintenance was lacking, such as leaf and trash removal from traps, more sand and less dirt needed in traps. The greens, while having some bad spots, were in good shape.

Lost a day at the beach 😞

This was one of the worst courses I’ve been to in quite some time it’s as if tobacco Road had an illegitimate child and decided to not care for it.

I don’t normally leave any reviews much less bad ones but this was worth the four minutes to do so.

There’s no grass

Nice layout. It could be a great fun course but there’s no grass in the fairways. Hitting off dirt except the tees and greens. Tees a greens have grass. Greens are super slow.

Not so hot.

Irrigation leaks on a couple fairways causing flooding, sprinklers running during the round, fairways about 40% grass, mostly sand, dirt or mud. No commitment that I can see to improving lately. Greens starting to die off already. The employees working that day were kind and helpful. Overall just a below average experience. Been like that for the last few years.

The course was challenging but not too difficult

I was pared with a father and son from Mississippi. We played at the same pace and level. I enjoyed the day course was in good shape.

Fairways in need of grass!

The tee boxes and most of the greens were in good shape, but most of the fairways are not in good condition and are needing improvement. Otherwise, for the money, this is a good course.

Housing vs Golf

The layout of the course is really nice, but the overall condition puts it at the bottom of any ratings. The tee boxes were in horrible shape to a point where the back tees had been abandoned completely. The greens while green had numerous decay spots and the grass was long enough to stop a completely downhill putt. The fairways had more sand rocks and debris than they did grass. The cart paths were concrete slabs and about 20 percent were cracked making for some unsafe driving conditions. After leaving the course we looked up the course for possible reasons after we read their personal description. It appears the community is not golf favorable and has gone in a different direction which included replacing the driving range with houses. It appears that the community is making their golf course completely self reliant for maintenance which explains a lot. It is a shame that the scenic and panoramic aspects of this course will soon be lost.

Overpriced and Poor Conditions

I have not played this course in a while and when I wanted to play, this was the only course available to me and my friends. And now I know why. First of all, for a non-member, non-military (active duty or retired), the cost was $70. That should have been red flag #1. Then when we got out there, the tee boxes appeared to be in decent shape. Drive the ball and there literally is no fairway. It’s all hard pan, sand and dirt with a few grass patches here and there. There is more grass in the rough than the fairways. Get on the greens and they are in ok shape. Now we are just coming into the season but the course looks like there was never an attempt to keep it up during the winter. It’s a shame really when this course used to be one of the nicer courses and values around. And there are no on course amenities (beverage cart or similar). I hope they get things straightened out but I highly doubt I will be playing there again.

Honesty

I had a rangefinder that I accidentally left on my cart. It was my Christmas gift from my dad, he passed away 3 days after. It meant a lot to me. I called several times after I left and the pro shop stated nothing was turned in. It was late in the afternoon and no way they rented the cart. I worked as a bag attendant, club repair, to a professional. and the way this club handled this situation is ridiculous. Whoever took it I hope you enjoy because karma is real.

Course conditions

The tee boxes are in good condition. The fairways are typically Florida sand course fairways, some are sparse of grass and some have good grass. Most of the greens are in very good shape. The bermuda grass is starting to grow and green up. The carts are very good. Some of the cart paths are in need of some TLC as well as the sidewalks that you are supposed to use to get to the course and back to the clubhouse. They changed up the Bay 9. Losing the first hole to housing. The old par five 5th hole is now a par four and a par three.

Fairways have no grass, and the greens need some work. (Very bumpy.)The pro shop was rude and I just didn’t feel comfortable.
