The Golf Club at Bluewater Bay

Tee time at 11 AM. At the turn we would have to wait seven minutes for a hot dog (why). After the round about 3 PM the grill was closed (why)

The course was nice, especially the Marsh course. A couple of great holes right on the bay. Wind was howling that day and all the holes on the bay were 2-3 clubs longer because of that, but still magnificent. Staff was great and friendly, but the clubhouse and grounds could use some work.

I was delighted with Bluewater Bay after reading not so good reviews from 3 to 4 months ago. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few bare spots on the greens. But, more important was a great course layout and challenging holes. The fairways were great and the greens very good. I would say play later in the day as the course is wet in the morning. I will play Bluewater Bay again and I will recommend it to my friends traveling to Florida.

Of you want to go hacking seeing it's fine. But for a day off golf forget it.

Disappointed with how much the course has deteriorated over the years...driving range closed, the lake course closed, greens and fairways were awfully thin.....

Did a golf trip for my son’s bachelor party. We had a total of 7 golfers playing, including a couple who never played before. It was a challenging course (for us) but we had a great time. The staff were pleasant, the course was in great shape, I would absolutely recommend playing here.

They have broken the course up for development. No continuity to hole layout.

Overall this is an interesting layout. The course is relatively short with a choice of 5 tee boxes. The tree lined fairways make some holes a little tight from the back tees. A couple holes have great views of the bay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the course was in very rough condition. Grass on the tee boxes was often sparse or shaggy. The fairways were decent but the bunkers needed some attention. The greens were really bad. Large portions of the greens were brown with bald patches. They were also shaggy, bumpy and VERY slow.

Pace of play could be frustrating too. It took us 4:45. Luckily it was a beautiful day and I was with good company so the waiting wasn’t so bad.

Fortunately we got a great deal through GolfNow. Had I paid full price I would have been very disappointed. All in all, a decent experience when compared to the price paid (<$40)

Played about a month ago, and course was in great shape. Now, half the greens look like a roundup bomb hit them. Also in the middle of going down from 2 courses to one, and closing the driving range. Golf popularity increased with COVID-19, and you can’t fill a course? This used to be one of the best facilities around… what happened?

This course is closing. 9 of the 27 holes are closed. The driving range is closed and the remaining 18 holes are not being maintained well. The greens barely have grass. This was once a nice course but now on its way out.
