Under repair
We had played Bluewater Bay in the past for many years. They have went from 4 nine hole courses down to 2 over the years. Apparently the course had recently been purchased by the members and is currently going through a transition period with new ownership and grounds crews. Hopefully with this change the course will return to good shape like it used to be.
As far as course conditions go, there are greens with little to no grass, some fairways lack grass in a few areas. But you can tell that grass is trying to grow on some of the greens and fairways, but it has a ways to go. I look forward to seeing what this course looks like over the next year or so. I hope it makes a turn around.

Sad that the general public has no idea what poor conditions this course is in - don't do it GP
Poor conditions
In spite of the heat, we played. Bay side was hot and horrible conditions. Didn't matter if you were in the middle of the fairway or on the green - very dry and lousy conditions. 100% TERRIBLE. Marsh side was better but still needs a lot of water and work. I forget what hole it was but they were watering the sand trap and I called the pro shop - who knows if they did anything. I've gotta do a better job with reviews before booking this course again.
Not terrible course, but certainly not the best in the area
Course is a conjoined two 9 hole courses consisting of "Marsh" and "Bay". Golf Carts felt new, but were missing coolers (And you couldn't bring your own). No driving range for warm ups (I think a couple of sim bays in the pro shop building would be perfect for this location). Marsh #1 is very rough (think stiff sand trap with a bit of green thrown in) with the pin missing all together. Bay #1 and #2 are also in very rough shape, but the rest of the course is ok. They did some course change ups which 18Birdies isn't tracking so that really didn't help much keeping score (but I'm a scratch golfer on my 3rd real round so it doesn't matter much to me). Lots of houses to hit so definitely not trying to hit any bombs at the risk of injuring anyone or hitting anything. Would play again just for practice, but no great expectations.
Beautifull Setting / Course Needs Work
The location is fantastic. But three green were completel bare and 2 were being watered. A couple of holes had temporary greens.
Not worth the $54
Crappy grass throughout....plus a tight course with houses on all sides...
BossMan
Worst course I ever played, I left a Ranger on the cart and manger park cart . I went back to get it and said it wasn’t on the cart.
Green were unputtable, their were no fairways
Absolutely terrible
Do not even waste your time or money. 60$ to play the worst course I have ever seen, greens are straight up dirt and this place has no respect for people or the sport.
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE
This course is one of the worst I’ve ever played. The greens are in terrible condition you are better off picking up your ball and heading back to the cart if it goes on the green. There are no fairways, it is just constant rough. The course is very confusing and I got lost for several minutes. The staff is very kind and was the one bright spot of the course. There are some good views but for 55 dollars I would not recommend this course. Could not even finish the round and called it quits after 14. Hopefully they can improve the conditions of this course because it does have some potential.
My backyard is better maintained than this
This is by far the worst course I have ever played. The fairways matched the rough in grass height. The greens were so bad and inconsistent that I think my ball would be better off putt on cement. Overall it was a fun time to play golf but it shouldn’t be the most challenging course due to how bad the course is maintained
Not good
The young lady checking me in said they were having trouble with there greens, and she was right! I have never seen greens that bad. They were bare, too sandy, pitted, and the two greens that had a decent amount of grass, the grass was too tall. The grass along the fairways hadn't been mowed in some time, and the fairways themselves were pretty rough. I really liked the layout of the course and the bay for a backdrop was great! It's just a shame about everything else.
Good for beginners, course needs care
The fairways are ok, tees ok, bunkers not bad, but greens have many, many patches of no grass, sand only, and there are a couple of temporary greens. Grass on the greens, what there was of it, needed mowing. It was had to hit putts hard enough. At best, it was like playing "winter rules" in July: hit it onto the green, add two strokes, and go to the next tee.
On the good side, the layout is interesting and the staff friendly, however there is no driving range, only a small green to chip onto. Bar and grill are open only Thursdays through the weekend.
Dead Greens
Bought a “hot deal” for 40 bucks and was way overpriced for the course conditions. Most of the greens are under repair and most are dead. A few holes have temporary greens that are basically a cup in the fairway.
Rough conditions
Course is still in rough condition. Greens are half sand, fairways are ok, tee boxes are a little rough.
Course is in rough shape
Course isn't worth paying $10 to play currently. We were one of very few groups out at 11:30am. We were not told that the greens were basically non-existent. They were bare dirt with some sand around the outside. Waste of money. Attached is probably one of the best looking greens of the day. Tee boxes were unmowed and fareways were knarley.
Terrible greens
Surprised they actually charge money to putt on these greens. There’s more sand than grass and most of the holes were cut in the sand. Worst golf experience in Florida!
