West at Jacaranda Golf Club
About
Both the East Course and the West Course at Jacaranda Golf Club are four-star rated by Golf Digest. These challenging golf courses weave across a tropical landscape covered with blue lagoons, tranquil ponds, and swaying palm trees. The West Course is the shorter of the two courses but it is no less challenging. Strategy and skill, rather than length, are the determining factors on this layout. With water hazards to avoid, numerous tricky doglegs, and tight bunkering along the greensides and landing areas, this course is definitely a shot-maker's layout. The raised, sloped greens and undulating, tree-lined fairways will require some careful maneuvering. The outward nine is slightly more forgiving than the demanding inward nine, which features more boldly contoured green complexes. The challenging, yet versatile design of both golf courses has made Jacaranda one of southeast Florida's most popular golfing destinations.

Hole Number 3 - West Course Photo submitted by msimmering on 11/05/2012
Enjoyable day. Fun layout.
Paired with two really nice guys. Played from Gold tees again and really enjoyed the opportunity to hit driver on many holes. Pace of play was good compared to the prior round I played on this course. 4 1/2 hous vs. 51/2 hours.
will play again
Many good reviews sent me there. Course was as good as I had heard. Pace of play was miserable, however. Twosome and threesome ahead of our threesome were out for a "Sunday drive". Refused to speed up at all. I will play it again because of the course itself.
Beautiful Course, well worth it!
Gorgeous course, friendly staff, challenging but not overly.
Nice golf outing at Jacaranda
In spite of a "cart paths only" conditions (very wet conditions) the West course was playable and the round was enjoyed. Not very many people on the golf course and the pace of play was excellent. I recommend Jacaranda to all level of players, the five different tees give you the choice on difficulty. Great course.
Carts on the pathway only
When the ball líes far from the pathway the delay in the play is important
Very nice
Very nice conditions. Some wet spots from the rain, but overall very nice. They could do some work on some of the bunkers.
Soggy day
There was no rain but the night before it was really bad rain. Six holes were cart path only and a few more were very wet. The course is always in great condition and the greens roll well. Played as a twosome that was hooked up with a single. Eventually caught up with a foursome that let us go through with no problem. Good day of golf.
Best course i've ever played !!
Everything from the staff to the green was simply fantastic !! Loved it !!
Great Experience
Came in as a single and was paired up with two players of my approximate skill level on the West course. The course was in great shape. Soft, spongy fairways, and fast greens. Played from the "3" tees and had a fair chance at many PARs. Thoroughly enjoyable day. Both courses are kept in excellent condition. The GolfNow rewards made it very affordable.
Great course
Everybody should try a least play one time on this golf course. Excellent green and well condition areas
championship quality
Great course that proved to be challenging but fun. Front and back nine has two different personalities.
What Golf should always be!
Where do I start? The staff was extremely friendly. I arrived at 10:30 for a 10:58 tee time and was greeted by the staff who took my clubs and informed me where to go. After I paid for my range balls i headed to the driving range for some practice. The Starter let me know he would get me out as soon as he could once he found someone to pair with me. As I was finishing my bucket, he approached and asked if I would mind playing with a young lady and gave me an extra bucket of balls to use while i waited for her to warm up. That's service. I actually didn't play with her because a member arrived and I got paired with him. The round was great as we both breezed through the course. On about the 4th hole we came up on a slow group of 3. The ranger just so happened to be making his rounds and asked us how we were doing. We informed him great until that point but were a little concerned about the group in front. He asked the group to let us play through and the rest of the day was smooth sailing. Wish I lived in Florida so I could play this course more!
Great course for the buck
Had a great time out...
Cart path only due to multiple storms. However overall course, staff were great.
Great course
First time Inplayed at Jacaranda and it will certainly not be my last. A great alternative for those who do not enjoy shoppig, and can leave family members at the Sawgrass while playing a beautiful round of golf.
Jacarana East
was pretty decent condition, greens not so great this time i went, more from people fixing their ball marks, be kind to course and it will be kind to you. i fixed about 5-10 per hole, but still shot 92, so i guess that does not hold true, normally in great shape, but kind of expensive for the quality of course. overall pretty gppd. staff is great, from clubhouse to starter to cart people
Great Track
One of the best values in south Florida.
Great course, excellent condition for mid summer.
Will be playing here often...
solid track
good facility. east course is a beast but fair if you play from the right set of tees. FYI staff here knows that most people play from the #2 set of tees (2nd from the back) when they shouldn't be (6900 yards par 71 on the card) so they move those tee markers up significantly so the course really plays more like 6500-6600 from the #2 tees. Played it twice this summer and it has been set up that way both times. Probably smart of them. Greens OK, kinda bumpy but that is standard for any public course here in the summer. Overpriced in my opinion if you pay full price, but if you get a deal this place is worth playing for sure. Interesting layout and a tough test
So-So
Not too bad of a layout. Maybe a little over priced with all of the other options this time of year. Played the front in a little over two hours and as we putted out on 9 the weather siren blew so we went on the grill to wait it out. Two hours later when the weather broke and we had decided to leave I went in to get a rain check and got the third degree as to why we took so long to come in the golf shop ( thunderstorm & heavy rain) and why I didn't have my reciept (had to give it to the starter). Not a huge deal but below the level of service I provide at my facility so it ticked me off.
have you played the west course? I am going with my buddies in a few weeks for a boys trip. our handicaps are 10-13-15-18.. our plan is the blue tees at 6400 yards
thoughts?
