TPC Tampa Bay

Great course, very challenging, but check-in and getting a cart sucked. Because we got there to warm up 45 minutes early they wouldn’t give us a cart, so w had to carry everything down to the driving range. Then the starter came and started harassing us to get to the first tee, but we still didn’t have a cart. Just really frustrating when you pay a lot with a cart, you should be given a cart when you arrive!

First time Playing any TPC course and it did not disappoint! Staff and amenities were top notch and the course was gorgeous.. Not as difficult as I thought it would be but definitely challenging.. Takes a lot of course maintenance to avoid the many many bunkers and water.. Not overly long, but you need to be straight!

Overall was a wonderful experience. I was in town from Philadelphia and I would go back to Tampa just to play TPC..

Greens definitely are not in good shape. Have played there back in 2006 many times and was very disappointed to see how bad the greens are. Brought my son and father-In-law and they were very surprised that a TPC course had greens so bad. I definitely will not be going back until I hear the greens have been improved. Not worth the money.

Nice course and amenities.

One of the only courses i played In Tampa this trip that actually had green roughs and fairways. Every other couse was dried out. A few of the greens were in need of TLC but overall, good experience.

I played the course today. I played the ball down everywhere. The fairways were very nice as well as the bunkers. There were some sandy spots on some greens but they did not affect the roll of the putt very much. They still rolled around a 10 on the stimp. The layout of the course is very nice especially the back nine. I would recommend playing and will play it again.

I called TPC Tampa on my way to the airport to try to get in 18 holes before I had to return home. I showed up about 45 minutes prior to my scheduled tee time and asked the pro shop if they could get me out early. They said no problem, head down to the first hole and see the starter. This is where it went bad. The starter was chumming it up on the first tee with a twosome and and could not be bothered at all. When I told him the pro shop sent me down to go out right away he said not on my watch. I asked about the twosome on the tee box and he said they are members and he couldn't pair me up with them as they wanted to play alone. I explained that was bad business and he said he could send me out as a single behind them. Mind you there were nothing but foursomes in front of the two and behind me. It made no sense. I went to the pro shop and asked for a refund. The pro shop was extremely friendly and apologized for the starter. I took my refund and got on my flight to go home. It was a disappointment to end the a couple of great days of golf. I would recommend this course as long as this one starter is not working. I will not name his name, but he needs to understand that paying golfers should be treated with respect. He doesn't own the course, he is afforded the ability to work there.

Nice course. Greens were just dressed, so that took some shine off the course. Nothing too difficult. Beautiful day and had fun. Not sure it is worth the $200

This was a great place to play. The staff was friendly, the pace of play was great, and the course is in excellent condition.

Greens had dead spots on basically everyone of them. To have the audacity to charge $189 to play this place is a crime. It’s not worth $80. Wouldn’t play it again for free

I’ve been wanting to play here for years and expected a TPC course to be nothing short of an amazing golf experience. Well, the course layout was nice, but for $150 on a weekday, it was definitely not worth it. The greens were in pretty poor condition, tee boxes were ok but have seem better, and the rough and second cut around the greens were dry and filled with weeds. I have played several other course from Tampa to Orlando in much better shape and just as challenging for half the price. All you’re paying for is the “TPC” in the name.

The course layout is great and the conditions are good for this time of year. The greens are the major issue. There are large dead spots on the greens. I assume this is from the cold. Away from the dead spots, the rest of the green area is absolutely perfect. This course is overpriced because of this. There are some non golf areas that really need some TLC (trash, weeds) subtracting from this wonderful piece of property. I recommend playing this course but not for

$180 (maybe $100). It is still the best public option in the area (not overly impressed with Tampa golf).

I booked last minute after a during a quick business trip to Tampa. No starter, so the course was packed with singles and twosomes. Pace was hossible for a Monday afternoon / evening. the real problem with this course, is not in “TPC” shape, Not even close.

For 200 bucks I was expecting the nicest course I've played and it might not even crack my top 10. You can get much nicer for way less.

Staff were very nice and friendly. We loved them very much! They helped us to solve problems and made us very happy. We really enjoyed and will play this course again.

The layout is challenging, but there is too much artificial mounding, giving it a target golf feel. The greens were mostly good, but slow with a few in poor shape. You can hit as many practice balls as you want, which is a good change from the small bag I got the last time. The practice green and chipping area should be bigger. I played another course nearby in just as good shape for less than 1/3 the cost. Not likely I’ll play here again.
