Lansbrook Golf Club
About
With its exciting and challenging layout, Lansbrook Golf Club has earned a reputation as one of Tampa Bay's finest daily-fee golf courses. The traditional 18-hole, par 72 Lane Marshall design has amenities and service at a level of excellence typically found only at private country clubs. While surrounded by Florida's lush scenery (which includes the occasional alligator) Lansbrook G.C. is conveniently located just minutes from all of Tampa's major attractions. The course was redesigned by Ron Garl to give it a more contemporary look. Water hazards on 16 holes make for interesting play.

Some of the homes along with course are landscaped very nicely. Photo submitted by swannieq on 06/11/2013
Slow play
Our 4 some waited after almost every shot we were 5 hours and 25 minutes this way to long to play any course. Conditions only fair greens ran at a good speed. Will not play here again.
Nice course very slow play
The layout is nice and challenging but manageable. Evry tee box had a three group wait. Took three hours to play nine the the pace picked up slightly.
Average.
But for this time of year and for courses in the area this one is actually above average.
The price is good. For what you get.

Challenging layout, water and/woods in play on most holes, especially par 3s. Excellent greens rolling fast and true with subtle to extreme breaks, 10.5 on stimpmeter. Bunker sand was inconsistent, from firm to fluff. One of few course played locally that had stocked water stations. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Challenging layout for all levels
The course is in good shape and has a little narrower fairways. Greens are fast but hold shots . Bunkers could use some work but are in no means the worse I have played.
Good course for the money.
Slow round, tee times way too close together!
Golf course was. in reasonable condition and greens were excellent. We were welcomed in the pro shop and told the tee times were running a little late. We were 20 minutes late starting the round and took almost 3 hours to play the front nine. We waited on every tee, correct that, we waited on every shot. No course attendant monitoring pace. I think once the cash register rings, course responsibility ends. Tee times should not be more frequent than every 10 minutes on this course.
MY THOUGHTS
I had not played Lansbrook in many years so I surprised by how many memories came back.
On the Positive Side I dealt with a very friendly & courteous staff. We went off the 1st Tee a the correct time greens were fast & true.
On the negative side the grass in the fairways was a little thin, but it IS winter.
Once the fairway grass thickens up I would love to play Lansbrook again.

Slow play - course needs a marshall
We had 7 groups on the 5th hole today, and no this was not an attempt at a Guinness world record! There was a 4ball on the green, and 3 x 2balls ahead of us, we had a 3ball, and there were a 2 x 2balls behind us.
Some of these were 4balls at the start but decided to split up, also, one 2 ball was extremely slow.
This course needs a Marshall. I’ve played quite a few times at this course, groups split up, some groups pass out other groups to find a gap, and slow play isn’t taken care of. Maybe a few slow play sign and etiquette reminders will also help.
Nice course to bring your group.
It’s a fun course that is always packed but 4 hours is expected and works out fine
better than average conditions for public
Worth going despite a long car trip as the course conditions were acceptable. This had the best conditions so far for us- the Clearwater area of public courses. The fairways were NOT hard as rocks. They were green, not exactly plush, but playable. The greens were nice, consistent and playable. The thing that made this course moderate to hard for women is that is plays very long from the forward tees.
Other than that, course management could keep me out of the bunkers. There is some water in play, too. The packed tee sheet , 7 or 8 minutes between groups, made for a five-hour round! Long day with the round trip car trip. However, we will return.
