The aptly named Hidden Valley Golf Club feels secluded set between two large hillsides, amongst carefully preserved boulder outcroppings, ravines, and an abundance of native flora and fauna. The challenging layout demands accuracy and it will also test your shot-making skills. Golfers should expect to utilize every club in their bag. The golf course features tight fairways lined with mature trees, tricky doglegs, and multi-tiered greens that can be difficult to read. The rolling terrain also promises difficult uphill and downhill lies. Bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there is water on a few holes. A windy day adds yet another formidable element to the challenging design. The diverse layout has a mix of difficult par 3s, reachable par 5s, and a few birdie opportunities. Hidden Valley Golf Club will definitely test your skills, but five sets of tees make the course more approachable to a wide range of skill levels.

Fantastic for the most part.

This was my first time playing this course. Even on the drive in you could see how beautiful this course is and it only got better playing around the course. The fairways and greens were some of if not the best I’ve played in the area. The greens were sneaky hard to read and broke more than they looked. I can’t say enough good things about the course itself. The only gripe I had with the course was the pace of play. An average round of golf should be 4-4.5 hours for a longer round. The round here took over 5 hours and 45 minutes of it were spent sitting in a cart waiting to hit. No martial was out speeding people up. Tee times are stacked 10 minutes apart causing slower groups the hold up every group behind them. The corse could do with an extra few minutes In between rounds especially on a weekend when it’s at its peak. Other than pace of play I loved everything about it. Will definitely play again.

Stunning

What an amazing experience, the course is one of the best I have played in the USA. The views and course layout is exceptional. Each hole gives you something different! The stand out experience was the staff greeting when I checked in at the pro shop!

I was paired up with Rick a great gentleman that works as a course marshall. He made the round even better! Thanks Rick and the team at Hidden Valley!!

Great course as usual, pace of play poor.

My dad and I played a 1:30 tee time here. Great course as usual and has enough time to hit the range and get a drink before the round. Supposed to tee off at 1:30 and tee’d off at 1:45ish. Two twosomes paired together. Only thing fast that day was the consumption of said drinks. Pace of play was terribly slow. We followed a foursome group who had 3 from the whites and one from the red. Didn’t matter their pace, three groups ahead holding the pack.

Always love playing here but clearly they’re stacking the tee times too close together without anticipating slower groups.

Unprofessional Customer service

For the first time I have ever been told I can’t play golf as a single because the other 3 golfers did not show up. 4 sum behind me, I would of never held them up but they would not allow me to play. They told me to come to pro shop for a refund. Unacceptable after I just drove 70 miles to golf and paid for my green fee. The GM was an absolute joke. Made no sense on his reasoning why I couldn’t not play.

Great course

Course was in great shape. The greens were clean, some slower than others. I’ve played this course many times and pace of play there is one of the worst. This last time was average for a nice, public course. We were out in about 5 hrs.

Worst Condition

Worst condition I’ve seen from HV. The tee boxes were muddy, dirt, uneven. The fairways torn up. The greens were fluffy and not kept. Bunkers were full of water and mud. Just all around terrible. Not to mention, had ground keepers getting in the way. Definitely not worth what I paid for. Im staying away from HV for awhile until they can figure it out over there.

Overrated

Green are slower than any municipal course. Check in staff is slow and rude. They over book tee spots and don’t spread their tee times out.

Only positive about the course is the layout.

Course is absolutely embarrassing

The shape of the course is awful. The greens are in good shape but the fairways are completely dead. What happened to this course. I used to play here all the time years ago. The worst part is I called prior and asked the pro shop how’s the shape of the course and I was told it’s in decent shape right now. If you are going to charge $90 a person you should at least be honest of the conditions. I would be embarrassed to invite anyone tk this course.
