Hidden Valley Golf Club
About
The aptly named Hidden Valley Golf Club feels secluded set between two large hillsides, amongst carefully preserved boulder outcroppings, ravines, and an abundance of native flora and fauna. The challenging layout demands accuracy and it will also test your shot-making skills. Golfers should expect to utilize every club in their bag. The golf course features tight fairways lined with mature trees, tricky doglegs, and multi-tiered greens that can be difficult to read. The rolling terrain also promises difficult uphill and downhill lies. Bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there is water on a few holes. A windy day adds yet another formidable element to the challenging design. The diverse layout has a mix of difficult par 3s, reachable par 5s, and a few birdie opportunities. Hidden Valley Golf Club will definitely test your skills, but five sets of tees make the course more approachable to a wide range of skill levels.

Golfer Reviews
Terrible golf carts
It’s a great golf course but, they need to be better with the golf carts. We saw 3 or 4 people having problems with their golf cart. We played with very nice couple and, they had problems with the golf cart at the front 9 , they changed their cart when we got at the 9 hole and they kept having problems with the new cart. Please do something about it. This is a great golf course.
Really nice layout
Nice and friendly staff clean course your landscape staff does an awesome job no doubt best bang for the bucks we will recommend and be back soon
Hidden Valley
Great course for the money. We played after a week of rain and the course was in relatively good condition. Great views of the mountains and rad layout. My friends and I would definitely play here again.
One of Best courses I have played
Course was built on mountain, well maintained and lay out very well .I live IN Chicago area, whenever I visited and I have payed and enjoyed with my wife. When played you can enjoy scenery view on mountain. I will play again whenever possible.
Great View
I enjoyed the course and the views from many holes were incredible. My only complaint, a few holes were gimmicky and without playing before, make it difficult to play them well.
Good value
This is a very nice course but we could not start on time because we had to wait for carts returned from earlier players. The pace was slow otherwise it was fun. Btw, there’s a few carts that could not make two rounds and got stuck. We were lucky that we had to replace one cart and the other one just made it.
#15 is closed
We teed up around noon. The course was packed and the plays were slow. We never saw any rangers to advise faster play. We finished 17 holes(#15 was closed) in the dark around 5 pm. The worst part was that they closed #15 without telling us before we started and it caused confusions what to do at the closed gate.
Slow play
The front desk is very rude, the pace of play was very slow. The fairways were nice and the greens were ok.
First time playing here. Awesome views and scenery. Was a hazy/smoggy day so if it was clear the views would have been even better. Challenging layout with forced carries on many holes. Elevation challenges nearly every hole too, which made it fun but tough. It's either hit the fairway or first cut, or you're in the dirt/rocks/bushes. Little room for error. Pace of play was horrendous. Worst I have ever been a part of. 5 1/2 hour long round that began at 11:30am and we were rushing through with very little light to finish the last couple holes. That's just sad and frustrating. There was one hole that had 4 groups in front of us waiting to tee off. More than a 30 minute wait on one hole. If it wasn't for the pace of play, would have been a fun and challenging day. Tee boxes could use some work.
Great for the Money
In OC, the courses are valued too high for what it's worth. For Hidden Valley, I paid $94 that seems a great value. Should pay $120. Great views.
It Needs Serious Help
Unfortunately in SoCal you absolutely get what you pay for, and Hidden Valley is a true $50 round, you’re going to have to spend $80-$150+ to find quality golf out here, just the way it is. This course has the potential to be one of the coolest courses in all of California with its extremely unique layout, but the course continues to not be properly cared for. The layout already naturally causes a backup with its long drives to certain holes, blind tee shots, and drivable par 4’s, however, with no real Marshall enforcing the play, the pace of play is horrific. You’re guaranteed a 5+ hour round on this course even on a weekday, and God help you if you’re playing on a weekend. Kikuyu grass takes over much of the rough and large portions around the green making it extremely difficult to judge your chips and pitches. This was the nicest I’ve seen the course in quite sometime and I’d still call it below average overall. The sand in the bunkers is concrete and can hardly be called sand. It’s just a shame this course doesn’t get the love it deserves.
The course offers beautiful Mountain View’s along with a great layout
The course was very well kept and in great shape for golf
