Great Place

I would play here again, or should I say will play here again. I have gone to G-Burg for 9 years in a row, and surprisingly this was my first time at the course. I've played the other course closest to G-Burg, and the two do not compare. Go play G-Burg golf course...Definitely worth the trip, and the views are amazing.

Unbelievable elevation changes

There is some great holes with one par 3 being a good three hundred feet below the tee box. You will still get a work out riding because all the greens are elevated above the cart path.

Worth the trip.

Very good public course. We played on a Sunday morning and surprisingly was not busy. The course has a very interesting layout with lots of elevation changes. Very well maintained and greens were immaculate and rolled true. Very picturesque. Booked on golfnow for less than 50 dollars.

Mountain Golf in pristine course conditions

This was my 2nd or 3rd visit to Gatlinburg GC over the years, and without a doubt, the golf course was in the best overall condition that I'very seen. It's obvious that management has put a lot of money and work into providing excellent course conditions, both in terms of playability and aesthetics. The staff members that I encountered were all very friendly, and made me feel very welcome. The golf course is also a great example that a golf course does not need to be 7500 yards long to provide a good challenge. Very nice golf course, very nice day.

A Picture Perfect Day!

Excellent course and some great scenery during the round. It was hard to concentrate on the golf for all the great pictures we took. I would recommend this course to anyone of any skill level to play this course. It's was the highlight of our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains!! We plan to play again the next time we are in Gatlinburg, TN.

Family Fun

I brought my brother out so we could have a nice day of golfing and this was the best deal in the area. The overall course was in very good shape. Beautiful landscapes and very scenic views of the mountains. We found the hints on the cards to be very helpful on some holes. The course is fairly forgiving on some holes that helps your ball funnel into the middle of the fairway. Other holes were somewhat challenging. I would definitely come back and play if our families ever get back into Pigeon Forge,
Thank you,
Khanh

Great course

This is a must play course especially the 12th hole par three downhill 200 feet. It's an awesome hole and you had better hit the green.

Scenic

The golf course was in pretty good condition. The gnats were awful. There was no Marshall to speed up play or to tell slower groups to allow faster groups to play thru. Extremely expensive for the experience.

Very nice course. Somewhat challenging for the average golfer. Many holes require you to make a decision on placement of the tee shot. Very picturesque!! Bring your camera!! .

Hot Deal

Have wanted to play this course for years, and finally booked a Hot Deal. This is a mountain course. Our pace was slow, mostly because I don't play well! The course was beautiful, and the 12th hole was quite an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our round, and look forward to playing again!

love this course

I've just recently started playing again after 10 years so take this with a grain of salt. This is a great course it was extremely challenging for me. We played half the course in the rain which I didnt mind anyway, because I love playing in the rain. The rain took all the break out of the greens but didnt lose any speed. They was really nice and well kept. I have only one problem and its not with the course. It was sad to see all the divot marks left. the lack of respect for the game and the players behind you makes me sick! I wish they could police this better. If you cant fix your divots dont play on such a nice course play in the cow pasture behind your house. RESPECT THE GAME AND OTHERS WHO PLAY

Fun Course

Had a blast playing this course did a lot of hiking up the sides of big hills to hit some of my second shots but it was great. Don't try to kill the ball on the back 9 you need accuracy more then distance.

beautiful course, but bring bug spray

the course has alot of slope and different elevation changes. It really does have some beautiful views and is somewhat tuff! The only negatives where that the fairways were concrete hard, it even rained the night before. Also the nats were horrible, so bring bug spray with you.

1st 9 for the score 2nd 9 for the view...

You may want to score as low as you can on the first 9 because the second 9 can be a bear.... There are serious elevation changes and doglegs on the back 9 that require really good shots to be made... the whole course was in great shape and a fun to play.... the 12th is a gem....

Children under 6 are not allowed...discrimination?

So I'm standing on the first tee box and this guy walks up and tells me I have to leave because my son can't ride in the cart if he is under the age of 6. I thought it was a joke but he pointed out the manager and he told me the same. The city of Gatlinburg owns the course and there have been several accidents with small kids in carts so they made the rule. My family traveled across two states and planned to play here for more than a week. We booked online and we're never informed about the rule. The course website does not list it either. I was told they have a sign in the clubhouse although no one ever showed it to me after I had asked to see it. Long story short...I was refunded my money... Minus the booking fee from golfnow.com. It's sad that I was trying to teach my son to love the game with his dad but we were asked to leave over an obscure rule. Although the 16 year old girl in the group behind us was allowed to play in her daisy dukes and tank top...classy folks in Gatlinburg.

I was lucky to call ahead before I played and was informed about this rule. It should be listed. It is interesting that all I hear on t.v. and everywhere else is how to get the kids interested in the game. Rules like this are the reason participation in the game are dying out.
