Not worth full price
Played as part of a Deal Time and not sure it was worth the $55 we paid. Definitely wouldn't have been happy at $80
Greens had been recently aerated and were bumpy and inconsistent on speed. They were also inconsistent on approach shots with some holding and other rolling way out.
Course lay out had too many blind shots with the cart GPS warning you of them but no way for groups to communicate the way was clear, On top of that roughly half the holes are cart path only meaning walking up and down steep hills to get to your ball. Those same elevation changes meant you need a range finder and to bring multiple clubs to your airway shots.
Several tee boxes were in rough shape and others had such thick grass that even using a tee on some of the par 3's, your club could get hung up.
Fairways were a mixed bag, some were great and others with too thick grass. Rough was always a challenge to get down to the ball.
Layout was visibly pleasant and hole 12 is pretty special (teeing off 165 ft above the hole).
I won't be playing here again.
Excellent Golf Course
Fantastic course lay out. Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Will highly recommend the course.
Fun to play
This was our first time to play here. I only have 2 complaints. Only have nets to hit into if want to warm up and the greens looked a little rough in spots but I never had a putt that was affected by any of those spots. It’s a fun and challenging layout. Long fairways are very narrow and the rough is unpredictable. Your ball can settle down or it can stay up a little. Very tough out of rough if can’t keep it in the fairway. A couple holes you can think hit good shot and the slope can carry it out of fairway. 10 is a fun hole. Should hit an iron but I went with driver, chanced it and just played it off the hill Worked perfect. 12 is around a 200 ft drop and really cool.
Great course
We were the first out on Sunday so pace of play was great. Lol. Beautiful course! And hole 10 is extremely challenging! And the par 3 with the 100 and something foot elevation drop was awesome!
Challenging
Beautiful course with tight fairways. Deep roughs. Only thing lacking is driving range or driving cage for warm up. I’ll be back!
Course was in good shape greens were a little rough in couple spots but overall very good has variety of holes to challenge every level of player
Fun layout for the $$
I have played a number of world class championship tracks and this one is just as fun for a public one.
Great course but tough.
This course is for experienced golfers in good physical condition. Miss the fairway and good luck finding the ball in the deep bermuda. In my opinion there were several areas where you couldnt drive the carts, so lots of walking and hard on older golfers! It was hot and it seemed every hole we were looking for golf balls. We were paired with two other men who frequently lost golf balls and we tried to help find theirs. Im 75, it very good shape, but the heat the hills and time spent looking for golf balls wore me out. There should be water and or drinks available on the course!
Nice track
Course is really a tale of two nines. Front is mostly open while the back is tree lined and tight. Par threes are a real challenge from the back tees. Overall a good test and a good experience.
it played long
it was cart path only and it was wet so there was very little roll out.it was alot of walking and there are alot of hills.its easy to get worn down
Think twice before paying $$$s
We were excited to play this course since it looked well maintained both online and visually once we arrived in Pigeon Forge.
What we could have never imagined given we have played so many courses nationwide was how poorly this course is managed.! First, we paid for 18 holes only to start our round to learn a group of 8 young men were two groups ahead of us and they were hackers!! Seriously no golf course at height of the season and on a weekend puts 8 as 1 group on a course with NO marshall to manage time of play.
Second, no cart people and NO water except on hole 6 and 16. Third, must get code for restroom which thankfully the other person paired with us was given it 😅. Forth, many of the holes had swarms of nat like bugs causing us to run back to buy bug spray. Fifth, no iron or wood warm up area only putting and chipping ( we didn’t like but wasn’t a deal killer either)
At the turn after 9 we had had enough especially given we should have only had about an hour and half to play vs another almost 3 hours so we went in to get a refund for the back nine which they refused. Instead gave us a credit 😡 seriously we live over a 1k miles away!! We should have been given credit to at least Golf Now! We would have settled for pro shop credit and they wouldn’t do that either.
The course itself though was nicely maintained though.
Im pretty sure I have never written a review for Golf Now so thought enough of this unfortunate experience especially given the cost of $75 each thatt for many is a lot. For us it wasn’t a $ issue - it was the principle of the situation when it comes to customary golf outing.
