A collaborative effort by Ted Robinson Sr. and his son has resulted in a most scenic championship layout. The championship 18 meanders through mature eucalyptus trees, tall palms, and majestic oaks. Sparkling ponds contrast with the dozens of white sand bunkers and the emerald green, Bermuda grass fairways.

Rough Condition

Staff was friendly but was delayed because their pro shop computer was down. I’ve never seen a course where the greens were so good and everything else was so bad. Staff was friendly and layout was good but for the price and current conditions, this place is a hard pass.

Tips

Facilities are nice

Folks who play admit the long play times because its cheap and affordable for all players

Staff is younger so expect the same attitude as your teenage kids

Cart person will swing by 3-4 times good frequency

Course is extremely muddy and soaked. This is regularly the case

There are some bunkers that are only mid no sand

There’s a homeless encampment so take caution

Holes are close to each other so errant shots will happen. Take care

People don't honor pace of play but they do buy up beers and enjoy their time. Set your expectations accordingly to play 6 hour rounds *even* with morning tee times.

There is no GPs or communications on cart so you wont have luck requesting for help. No Marshall on course

Frustrated players will jump ahead of you

Note that this is a discounted golf course, so tee times will be 6-hour rounds. Many of the young and elderly golfers will be drinking beer and enjoying the sun. While some people do and will take multiple shots off the tee, the pace of play is not strictly enforced. However, there are a few holes with homeless encampments, so please be cautious. Additionally, there will be a few golfers who will jump tees to avoid waiting in line, so I recommend doing the same to avoid getting stuck too long.

The course is generally in good condition, except for a few really muddy spots and sandless bunkers. A regular golfer I was paired with warned me about these areas in advance, which helped me prepare mentally. A few holes require a forced carry over 200 yards if you play back tees, which should be fun. The water hazards and waterfall are a nice touch, and I love that the water is clear.

The greens are quite good, but perhaps because there aren’t many ball divots. Where there are divots (in the par-3 holes), I ended up repairing at least 15 divots (10 on one hole and 5 on another).

The holes are close together, so errant golf shots are quite common. Over 70% of the way along the course, you can expect to see balls coming your way or behind you.

$30 is a lot to pay for a course that is almost entirely roped off.

Not great

Course is okay they are seeding right now so I’m sure it’s way better when that’s not happening. Customer service is terrible though. Nobody greets you and they moved three different groups times so everyone got pushed back. They pushed me back 20 min for being 2 minutes late. But no big deal. Just wish customer service was better in all departments

Poor course conditions

The staff were great, friendly and engaging. The greens were in good shape and rolled well. The rest of the course was in terrible conditions. Most of the fairways were patched with rows of sod that had just been rolled out placed down and were now dead. Lots of dead patches and rough parts. I played on a golf now deal otherwise it would have been way to expensive for the quality of the course. The layout was interesting and this course has the potential to be great but was just really poor condition. The sand traps were also packed sand or dirt. For the cost I won’t be back, I’ll play other courses in town.

Nice course and good bang for buck

This is a nicer-than-average course considering the very reasonable green fees. The layout is interesting and reasonably challenging, and the fairways and greens are well-maintained. One thing I'd like to see improved is the fairway bunkers. They are like concrete. They are no fun to deal with at all. All-in-all, though, I will definitely be back.

bad impression

started off with the shop attendant giving a gentleman in front of me a hard time for asking for a senior discount, then I was surprisingly charged a riding fee when I asked for a cart even though the golfnow booking says it includes the cart fee. didn’t feel like arguing so I just ate another $15, then there was no rhyme or reason to the starting tee, people seemingly just teeing off whenever they wanted close to their starting time, course conditions were very poor with dirt covering most fairways
