course wanders backand forth accross river
ok course for the area. Good value especially with golf now
Sunshine
Great weather in Carmel Valley. Get some good sunshine while playing a nice round of golf hitting over the river.
Great Value
Always an interesting round at East or West.
The only real difficulty is finding your ball due to the fall leafs on the course. One golfer told me he invokes a Leaf Rule when he can't find his ball that was clearly hit onto the fairway, no penalty.
great course, great people and will come again and again...
This summer, we play every other Saturday for 36-holes (East and West).
great course, great service and excellent friendly people.
We will come enjoy golfing again and again....
This course is fun and entertaining with some tricky holes. . .
This course is fun. . . The traps are a challenge and the ravines are deceptive. Sometimes you have to choose your club wisely because the wind may play a factor in your direction and distance. . .We played the East course and look forward to not only playing it again but also the West course. . .
This is a course with very narrow fairways.
Fun course, but requires one to be very accurate. Fairways are right next to each other requiring the accuracy.
Nice pace
We enjoyed the fact that we were not rushed, the course was well maintained, weather perfect.
Great course, even better with a little more attention to detail
Love the course! Only down side is leaves everywhere - including on the some fairways. I realize it's hard to keep it cleaned up, but it would make the pace of play faster if golfers didn't have to look for their ball on several holes.
East Course was great
The East Course is in great shape and provided a good challenge for a couple of average golfers.
Enjoyed this course and the entire experience
The course was fun to play, even though the fog was dense. Once the fog lifted it was beautiful. The golf course staff were nice.
I thought the price was fair, especially since it included not only the green fees but also a cart.
I'll do this again.
Course was in great shape. Staff was the best!
really enjoyed the experience here. The Staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape. We played the east course and all were happy.
East course very scenic
The East course was in great shape, greens very good. Very scenic course with mountainous background. Pace of play very good and staff super friendly. A bit shorter and easier to play than the West course. A great value for the area.
West Course in great shape
Played the West course and it was in great shape. Beautiful scenery (especially for someone from Houston). Greens in great shape and staff exteremely friendly. The girl (Gabriela) working the snack bar remembered our names at the turn. Nice touch. West course longer and more challenging than the East, but both very nice and a great deal on Golfnow.com
Course in terrible condition
This course is in terrible condition .. I would not recommend it to anyone.
This course needs a total overhaul ...
A well maintained parkland course.
I have played this course before and I knew that there would be a slight traffic hold up near Carmel so I allowed more time for it. I arrived earlier than my allotted tee time but the staff was kind enough to allow me play early. The condition of the fairways and the greens were pristine. The greens were not fast nor undulated but roll true. Most of the holes were fairly flat and had to zig-zag across a creek. I absolutely love the mature trees on the course. There were some relatively slow groups in front so the round took more than four hours to complete. The weather was nice and the view was good. Why care?
mix of challenging & fair holes
Rancho Canada has a mixture of challenging holes through trees, over river and opened fairways. This mixture is a great balance for the skilled and average players. The overall difficulty foes not go off the scale, but makes the overall experience a very enjoyable round of golf..Highly recommend
Too many tee Times were Booked
Huge delays ....especially on the back nine.
We saw 3-4 five somes.....a lot of two somes.....
This is no way to manage tee times.
Ended up going in after playing the 12th hole.......13th tee box had 2 groups waiting to tee off, a group on the green and one in the fairway.
Crummy experience.....I use to play there quite a bit.....need to reconsider next time.
fun course
West course has several great holes with the 18th up hill approach and undulating green surrounded by sand traps a fine finishing hole.
Great staff in pro shop
Great value, helpful & friendly staff - played West course, narrow in spots, but a good challenge.
