Woodbridge Golf Club

About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Woodbridge Golf Course
Great course to play. Well maintained. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in excellent shape.
Nicest condition in a while!
Great golf, good fellowship! Greens in good shape?
Good track
I like Woodbridge and was reminded why when I returned after a several year hiatus (it's a long commute over there). It's a good track with a good layout and you must hit it straight. If you hit it in the woods, you're out a ball. I personally love the challenge of good, target golf. Like the good community track that it is, it was crowded, and a little slow. But not the slowest in the area, by a long shot. Staff does a pretty decent job!
Different Layout
Not a bad track, the course needs water though. The track layout is pretty fun. The staff though.... it's a bunch of younger guys who are very indifferent if you play there or not. The maintenence crew just blows right in front of you mid setup. You feel like you're being an inconvenience to them.
Horrible Pace of Play
Took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes on a Sunday night. Apparently it’s tee times every 5 minutes.
Literally an unplayable pace of play and they should be giving out rain checks for this.
Management should be fired.
Terrible pace of play
Front 9 took 3 hours and 2 minutes. On four homes there were four groups on the same hole. I’ve played charity scrambles that were faster. We played 16-18 with a group of 7 players in front of us. The Marshall cane by and I asked what the deal was and his answer was “we can’t keep doing things the same way and expect it to get better”.
I will not be playing here again. The course itself is in good shape but not worth the money or 6 hours it takes to play. Go somewhere else.
Nice course and nice condition
Playing a public course the day before a holiday can be risky... the men's association had a group of about 25 guys tee off 2 groups ahead of us so I was worried... The pace of play was actually very good. We waited on a few tee boxes but for the most part it was surprisingly good.
The greens had a little sand on them but were in good shape.
Tee boxes and fairways were in nice shape.
I recommend playing here.
Great Layout
Pace was a bit slow as they were about 15-20 minutes backed up. Then we basically had to wait to tee off every hole, but such is life. Marshall and staff were very nice. Really enjoyed the course layout. Conditions of fairways and greens were great. Price was pretty solid and I’ll certainly be back.
Staff has Gotta get it together.
I’ve been playing Woodbridge several times a year for the last 20 yrs. The Greens, Tee Boxes and Fairways are about in the best shape I’ve seen them. My Tee Time on 5/3/25 was at 11:44a, i didn’t get a Cart until 12p. There was a line of 10+ people waiting for carts ahead of me and another 6-8 people waiting behind me. It’s kind of absurd to not have any carts and to be running 20 minutes behind on tee times. The round ended up being a 5 hr and 15 minute round not including the late start. When i played here on 3/1/25 we teed off 15 minutes behind as well. They’ve got plenty of staff it seems, starters, Marshalls, kids running around cleaning up the range, carts, and cleaning clubs on 18. The two gents in the clubhouse were nice but chilling on their phones when i paid.. a lot of staff kinda just standing around while things run behind.. if they could get this figured out, it’d easily be a 4.5 star venue. I’d recommend this course, just don’t make plans for afterwards.
