Solid course
Great course all around. Booked for 3ppl, but showed up with 4 ppl. Had a scheduled stranger for 4th, but staff was able to move him to another group (quickly accommodating).
Course was really fun. Challenging. Some long par 5’s to grip and rip. Greens in great shape. Hot cart girl.
Cherry Island FTW.
Beautiful Track
First time playing this course and would definitely play again next time I’m in town. Staff was extremely accommodating and the conditions were outstanding. Tons of gorgeous views.
Overbooked
Twilight hours were overbooked and the pace of play made it impossible to play with any rhythm. Was forced to wait 15 to 20 minutes after every single shot due to slow play and overcrowding. This is standard with most golf courses now. I wish rules and pace of play was spotlighted more in the pro shop.
A gem
Fairways and bunkers were great. Most tee boxes were excellent except for a couple. Greens were amazingly crafted by staff but the regulars never fix ball marks so heads up and bring a divot tool. Bathroom on the course are clean and the course has a very peaceful and spacious environment. For the price point I’d make the drive from the Bay Area.
THIS COARSE IS TRASHED AND FILLED WITH HOMELESS WALKING AROUND
I used to love playing at this coarse. Now its been trashed and a lot of homeless living next to it and walking through your game. Some of them are riding bikes right up next to you while you're on the Tee, and walking down the cart paths. Our group even let the staff and Golf Marshall know, and his response was "It's a public coarse so we can't do anything to kick them off the grounds unfortunately!" We won't be playing there anymore. Nobody wants to pay to play in those conditions.

Not a crowded course day, however before we teed off several slow groups went out after each other. We skipped ahead from the 2nd to the 5th hole and the rest of the day was great. However, because we skipped ahead we didn’t get to play the 18 holes. 15 good paced holes are better than the frustration of what would have been a six hour round. And in all fairness, we play Cherry a lot and this is not the norm. Pace is usually good. Thanks for listening…E
