Cherry Island Golf Course

I’ve played there many times and the conditions are great greens smooth and fast and enjoy playing there every time.

Pace pace pace should be addressed. 3 hrs to play nine holes is down right shameful. That being said, course is in good shape, and staff were very friendly but professional.

Received a small bucket of balls to warm up it was the smallest bucket of balls I have ever received. I did not count the balls in the basket but guessing maybe 10-13. The cart was not clean when I picked it up the cart had trash in both sides of the cart I mentioned to the person that has you sign out for the cart. No Marshal on the course couple I payed with was new so they let me play ahead of them, they fell about 2-3 holes behind me so that had to cause problems on the course. I noticed the tee box on the 18th tee has no steps so it is dangerous walking down the hill there are a few holes that are similar. Course needs new carts and more staff.. It is now getting hot so water stations are required.

Carts weren't exactly clean specially around the drink holders. Had sticky, dried up beverage spills from prior usage. Men's bathrooms were out of soap.

The course is heavily played and it shows. Most of the cart paths have been reduced to basically gravel and dirt. Golf prices have increased over all in the last couple of years but hasn't translated to upkeep in maintenance of the course. The greens are overall nice, unfortunately golfers are not fixing their divots.

Still a nice, fun and convenient course to play with enough challenges and opportunities to want to play it again. I will be coming back.

expected a little less firm,,fun time until cart died on the bridge at 18th hole

However, the tee boxes were in abhorrent condition. Need to move them more frequently.

Also, pace of play seems to always be an issue.
