Fun round
Despite a major storm that just passed the course was in good condition. The bunkers were full of water, but that was expected. Slow round, the Marshall needs to be a little more proactive. Enjoyed the round though.
The day after…
A major storm blew thru the area the day before. Lots of downed tree’s and standing water. Despite this the course was in good shape.
Natural beauty
The nature walk experience at Mather was incredible. The great blue heron, red hawks and geese were memorable. But the double rainbow on the 18th tee was an iconic moment.
Lots of fun
Arrived alone to play 18, met a great group of 3 and had a good time. Never disappointed.
The course is in really good shape and while it was fully booked the pace of play was great.
SLOW FOURSOME WITH HUSBAND AND WIFE LEARNING TO PLAY.
MARSHAL WAS NOT ON TOP OF HIS JOB. ALMOST DID NOT FINISH BECAUSE OF SLOW FOURSOME.
Cold winter round but still a great round of golf.
Our round started at 12:30 and the temps were in the low 60's by 3pm it really cooled off. Having extra clothes in the bag really helped out. Tee's were pretty good, fairways were ok, but the greens were awesome. Really fast and challenging.
Nice Condition
The course was in pretty good condition. The greens were a little fast but rolled pretty true. Pace of play was about 4 hrs.

very flat wide fairways, fast greens, fair condition, quiet ( no trains or freeway noise), very generic course.
Nice course, course manager needs some work.
Course was in great shape and the greens were great. Had an unfortunate interaction with another group and the course manager. One of our group hit a drive on 9 we lost sight of it, and turned out it kicked out the trees towards another group coming up 1. Our guy went over and apologized for not yelling fore, but one member of the foursome would not accept it and they had a verbal altercation. Our player proceeded to ignore him, took a practice swing, then played his ball back into our fairway. Turns out the guy called the pro shop and one of them came out and met us at the 9th green. The other guy embellished the tale (of course) and said our guy was verbally abusive and swung a club at him. We explained what happened and still were told if it happened again we’d be asked to leave. Not sure if these guys were pals or what, but I’ve never been threatened with expulsion from a golf course for a simple mistake. I guess in this age of Karen’s I should expect it. Otherwise, it was a great day!

Great course to walk
Mather isn’t the most glamorous course, but it’s a solid course. Great for walking and the conditions currently are pretty good. Some areas are a little burned out but mostly in good shape. Greens aren’t the smoothest, but that’s because people just don’t take the time to fix their pitch marks.
