Fairways Need Grass
Most of the lies in the fairway were on mud. However, the greens were good.
WILL PLAY MORE OFTEN,
course still wet from rains, bit muddy but playable. greens very fast and reads very true.
Nice Day at Mather
The course drained well from the rains the city had over the weekend and the pace of play was great. I’ve noticed the course has been manicured over the years with reduced tree limbs over reaching into the fairways and more attention is being given to the overall condition of greens and boxes. Hole #11, and #17 are still my favorite and I played them well, but the course still plays tuff at times when you approach from the wrong side of the fairways. Overall a good test and I will play again one day.
Back nine in recovery conditions
Pace of play was good. I completed in less than 4 hours. The greens were in great shape. The fairways were dry and out of bounds area, if hit into, the ball would run. The fairways in the back nine still had dirt clods from being punched, not playable. I was able to hit off the dried dirt and onto the greens. I wasn’t informed that the back 9 was in horrible shape and in recovery.
Nice course
Nicely kept course, staff courteous and friendly. Not too long and fairways not too narrow. Good course for intermediate players like myself.
Too slow for me
1:40 to play 5 holes. Sorry but I left after 5. Will try on a weekday. I like that the fairways are wide as I was trying out a new driver and needed some space
In Good Shape
Was very surprised and impressed that the course was in such good shape after punching the greens only 2 weeks ago. Greens are almost completely cured. Played around mid day and pace of play was great!
Great finishing holes
Played today under excellent weather. Purchased through Golf Now at great price of 39/player due to recent aeration. Greens still played relatively accurate despite aeration. Fairways are not great but very playable. Bunkers can use little more sand. Finishing holes are challenging as both are long par 4s. Overall great value for a Sunday morning time.
Great Muni Course
This is a hidden gem... Great old school course and club house. Nice selection of golfing equipment etc within pro shop. Golf carts are like new. Course design is well thought out. Wide fairways all around. Beautiful large trees littered throughout the whole course. I feel like I found my home course and will return soon.
Course Conditions
Course is in really great shape, especially the greens. They have really nice and seemingly new carts.
Overall condition was good. However, tee boxes could use some TLC. It would be nice if players repaired their ball marks on the greens.
