Was little slow , have to wait few holes

Nice course out of nowhere

Weather was cold will like to come back for sure when weather get warmer

I arrived to one of the least friendly greetings I have ever received. No warm welcome and I was told I would have to share a cart since I was a single player. I didn’t mind that, what I did mind was I had to wait for a cart until the other players arrived. If I was there first why did I have to wait? The course fairways are 60% dirt and weeds. The greens are about as dried up as the fairways. Play for us was so slow that three of us left after 10 holes.

The course can get really hot an super windy in a canyon. Not ideal in those conditions

I’m in from NY for a couple of months. Rustic Canyon Is a favorite of mine. It’s an outstanding

course, very challenging with wonderful views. I show up as a single. I have always had the

benefit of playing with first class folks

The staff is helpful and courteous

I love this course, not easy when the wind in blowing, but that's the challenge, who wants to play in excellent conditions day in and day out, this course prepares you for other links courses. the greens are very quick, your putter better be working.

Played in +30 mph wind conditions. Greens hard as concrete, balls hard to hold onto greens. Cross winds kept blowing drives into the hazard areas. Course layout is beautiful. Winds usually came down through the valley. Fairways are dry so balls roll quite a distance. High winds dried out already fast greens making putting distance control difficult.

I enjoyed playing this course. They put me with a threesome of great guys and we had a lot of fun. The course is pretty open so you can get away with some wayward tee shots. Hard fast fairways and similar greens. I imagine the drought has impacted this course as well as others so, that in mind, I felt the conditions were reasonable. I would have liked to see more green but I understand the challenge presented by Mother Nature. Greens putted fast but true. Very nice staff (especially Gianna) and I would highly recommend playing there.

The title says it all - Rustic Canyon. If this course got some much needed rain and watering and the maintence that would require it would go from a 3 Star to a 5 Star Course. Of course then we’d be paying $150 to play. Fun but very challenging. Greens are very hard and most approach shots do t hold the green. The putting surface would take a few rounds to figure out- maybe. Yes play it if you can get up there from LA but be prepared.

Love hole #8! Finally got my 1st hole in one! Course is playing tough due to 10-20mph winds. Greens are rolling smooth and really fast( 12+) , so fast the wind would blow balls off the greens. Fairways are good for this time of year. Traps are very thin, tee boxes are fine. Pace was slow due to tough putting, watched 4some in front 4 putt multiple times. They weren’t the only ones! Rough days of golf but I had ONE great hole!

This course has it all. The greens are fast and take a few rounds to figure out which hills/mountains affect which putts (breaks toward the entry gate except when it doesn’t. ;).

Lots of risk reward opportunities so manage your round accordingly. Links style with well maintained fairways and greens. The pace as great and we teed off at 11AM. This is a course for golfers. It wouldn’t be much fun for high handicappers. If you are a 12 or under you will love the experience if you like challenges.

Fun course. Not as challenging as others noted in my opinion. Dry this time of year so fast conditions. Fast undulating greens that reward a properly placed approach shot. Wide open fairways, hard to miss them. Were in good shape but better in the spring after they green up a bit. Pace of play was great for a Friday afternoon. Great value for the money. All staff encounters were very friendly and helpful. Mats only day on the driving range which was annoying. Will be back to RCGC.

Rustic is one of the most unique golf courses that I have played in SoCal. It is reminiscent of a links course, with many opportunities to run your ball onto the greens, or choose to fly and stop the ball. The greens are tricky to read, so don't be discouraged with your putting the first time you visit there. I always enjoy playing there, and have scored fairly well at times, though that is a challenge.
