San Vicente Golf Resort
About
San Vicente Golf Resort sprawls across lush rolling hills in Ramona, though it is conveniently only 20 minutes from San Diego's many attractions. Situated in the Valley of the Sun, the golf course boasts scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as temperate weather for most of the year. Ted Robinson designed the layout, utilizing the natural contours and features of the terrain. The golf course only measures to 6,633 yards from the back tees but it seems to play much longer because of the elevation changes throughout, which range from subtle to dramatic. The undulating nature of the landscape gives each hole a unique character. No two holes even vaguely resemble one another on this layout. San Vicente is not only for golfers though, there are also lighted tennis courts, two equestrian centers, and a year-round heated pool.

Golfer Reviews
Oof
Played here a month ago and course was in great shape. Course is terrible. Fairways are dead. Greens are shot. What happened??? What a let down, won’t be back. I would compare the conditions to the atrocity that is Eagle Crest. Woof.
Golf round at san Vicente Romona ca.
Good course nice layout have played many times fairway was burned out but normally that's form early freeze but very playable greens perfect running about 10 other wise fun course to play and plenty challenges.
San Vicente
First time at this course, overall, a solid and unique course design and layout. Golf pro shop was average and check in in process was smooth. First ability to find the holes was somewhat challenging at first. Water and sand are common on all holes and create unique shot making challenges. We played during a wind warning, so the variations were expected. Back 9 was a smoother and more straightforward layout. All greens were very fast and pin positions were challenging.
Positive course with average conditions in November.
Amazing greens
Very challenging green complexes. Extra large greens with serval tiers and challenging putts for sure
Pretty fair and short course- fairways a bit brown / dormant however the play was still very enjoyable
Worth the drive for a new track
Breaking putts
Strength of this course is their greens. Lots of elevated and undulating greens. Traps were in great shape with lots of sand, you will need the bounce in your sand wedge to be effective.
Nice place in Ramona.....
Nicest condition for a golf course i've seen all year......tough place though....sand is treacherous avoid at all costs.......greens are pretty speedy, don't hit it too hard....lots o humps and bumps, i don't think there's a straight putt on the course.........par 3's are long and tough....getting a 6+ is easy to do........if ya wanna challenge your game this is the place to go..........
Amazing vistas
Normally when I see the pictures on a golf course website they don’t truly reflect the reality, this is one time it did….. amazing golf course and beautiful views.
Very different. I loved it!
I played this course over 10 years ago and now it is very different. I was told that it went thru a remodeling. I simply loved it and it has become my favorite course in the area. Even though I live in Downtown San Diego, I will continue going all the way there.
