About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Pace is to slow
This is one of my favorite golf courses around, because is challenging, last two times I've played the course, I have bad luck, the pace of play is so slow, people playing this course don't know anything about golf etiquette at all, one thing is been a bad golfer other is been bad and slow at the same time, this is a message for golfers, if you are a beginner or do you like to take your time on every shot, let fast player play through I don't care if you can drive the ball 300 yards every tee shot, this golf course is to play smart golf, hit fairways and greens and I'll bet you will move faster and play the best golf of your life, instead of trying to hit the ball as far as you can, you will end up waisting time looking for you ball in the azards every hole. Good luck to all the golfers be safe and play good golf!

Solid, challenging and way, way too slow
Group ahead of us had no one in front of them and were 24 off the pace. No ranger in site. Nobody wants to play a 4:50 round early on a Saturday morning.

Very challenging course
For my self is been the hardest course I ever played but unfortunately I didn't bring my best game with me, my left elbow was bather me. But can't wait to feel good and comeback for my revenge lol. See you soon.

i loved everything about this course , fun challenging layout , greens conditions were awesome and fast .....

Long round
I really like this course,tuff course,but the pace of play is way to slow,5 hours is to long!

Water water water
The course has little to no healthy grass in fairways. We basically played move your ball to grass if you hit fairway off the box.
