About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Solid, challenging and way, way too slow
Group ahead of us had no one in front of them and were 24 off the pace. No ranger in site. Nobody wants to play a 4:50 round early on a Saturday morning.

Very challenging course
For my self is been the hardest course I ever played but unfortunately I didn't bring my best game with me, my left elbow was bather me. But can't wait to feel good and comeback for my revenge lol. See you soon.

Fun Layout
i loved everything about this course , fun challenging layout , greens conditions were awesome and fast .....
cart paths , bunkers , tee boxes , fairways , loved it all ....

Long round
I really like this course,tuff course,but the pace of play is way to slow,5 hours is to long!

Water water water
The course has little to no healthy grass in fairways. We basically played move your ball to grass if you hit fairway off the box.

I hate Johnny Miller
I was relunctant to play here again as I don't have fond memories of this course. Narrow fairways. no room fo error. We aren't all pros here. hit an errant shot and take a penalty and get another ball because you won't find that one.

Good layout but needs some maintenance work.
Nice weather and beautiful scenery. Staff are friendly and courteous at the pro shop but there’s no marshal on the field to control the pace of the game. The pace was very slow due to overbooking. Some bunkers were filled with mud. It’s still okay but I will wait until they make some improvements.
