Whitney Oaks Golf Club
About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Course condition
I played this course in January and was impressed with the conditions being winter, was looking forward to playing it in warmer weather and good growing conditions and I was disappointed, bare areas in fairways and dried uneven rough. Greens were in great shape and fast. Staff was very accommodating and informative
Had fun!
Course was great, staff excellent, and very challenging. Only knock was the driving range. The balls are a bit weathered and the mats were lumpy.
sloooowwww
Allowed a six some to play in front of us all day. Waited every hole!
Said lady was not playing...haha had her own set of clubs and every hole hitting from forward tees.
Mgm said, "sorry".

Haven’t played here in 3 years and played like garbage………..but that’s not the courses fault. Played 36 holes and had a great time. Greens were fast and tough to read. Loved the layout.
Tricky back 9
Greens had been recently aerated and had not been smoothed out yet, making for very bumpy putts. Fairways were often dry and very firm making iron shots off of them difficult for me. I need to practice hitting off of this surface. Great layout overall, lots of wildlife. Back 9 is very narrow with many blind shots. Much more difficult than front 9. Wonderful staff, very helpful and cordial. Would definitely play this course again. Great challenge.
Springtime golf
I played Whitney Oaks today & found the course in good shape. The greens were quick & rolled true, there was sand in the bunkers and fairways rolled out. Pictures are the approach on #2 & 3 out of 4 balls on the 4th green.
Great course especially for the price
Greens were in great condition. A few fairways were under repair. It great for the value
Course is in great condition, pace of play was under 4 hours.
As u said Whitney Oaks Apr 17,2024
Front 9 was challenging, I lost several balls& got lost on course. Starter put me up with an elderly couple who had played at Whitney oaks prior but they forgot layout.
Well back 9 is really a challenge, 5 or 6 holes with Swamp, ditches or boulders in from of the greens means u need a high approach shot. Greens very fast! Tee boxes in excellent condition! Now I know the lay out, I want to play Whitney Oaks again.
Challenging
Narrow with lots of trouble. Course in great shape. Greens are FAST…with multiple levels and undulation.
If you want a challenging, gorgeous course….you found it. Bring your A game.
