The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
About
There are two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club. The Reserve is the newer of the championship golf courses although technically it could be considered the older of the two. Originally designed in 1982 by Joe Lee, 16 years before the Arnold Palmer-designed Legends was added, the course was completely redesigned in 2005. New water features and more sand were added and seven holes were rerouted and redesigned. One hole that was made more challenging was the fifth hole. A long par 4 was transformed into a long par 3 that plays to almost 215 yards. In addition to the four golf courses, Orange Lake also boasts a lighted driving range and putting green as well as two chipping greens, one which features a sand bunker.

Tight with Tourists
This is an interesting layout that is very tight as it wanders through the timeshare condominiums. In addition, non-golfers (I hope) staying there tend to wander he golf course cart paths adding an additional hazard to your round. I wish the resort management would warn their guests of the dangers of walking on the golf course.
Good for this time of year
This was my first round during our winter vacation and my first round at The Reserve. The course is in pretty good shape considering this time of year. I was paired up with another single. Although the course was fairly busy we never saw the group in front of us. I found it to be an interesting layout that forced me to think through my shots to the greens. It's not a "grip it and rip it" course; or you may land yourself in trouble. I would play the course again.
Weird Layout
The layout of the course is very awkward and all over the place. It seems you do as much driving (cart) between holes as you do playing. Fairly wide open with basic greens. Not a very fun or interesting course to play.
F2
The course was in excellent condition. No issues with pace of play. Staff was excellent and friendly.
I will return to this course again.
Scenic course
Reserve course at Orange Lake is a great course to play. Good fairways and challenging greens with lots of slope.
Nice condition and layout.
Course was in great shape. Greens a touch slow but in great condition.
Fun course
Really enjoyed playing this course. Not a long course but a good test .Course apparently has come a long way in the last few months with the new management and probably will only get better. Would definitely play it again. Well worth the green fees. Greens rolled nice . The staff was great.
Great shape! Never waited on any holes. Challenging!
Play early on a cloudy day. Play alone in two hours fifteen. Good fair course greens in good condition at fair speed.
Very Nice Course for the Money
Very nice course, good conditions. Several holes provide somewhat challenging play, but with a few well - placed shots, you can score. Some par 4s a little long for seniors, and no senior tees.
Tight course
This is a tight course compared to the other courses at orange lake.Course in better shape then the legends when I played it much more challanging greens
Good day
course is in good shape. greens are small with a lot of undulation. they are in good shape and rolled true and are running at a decent speed. .
tight course but a lot of fun to play
Opened Round
Just off plane & opening round on a very average golf course that hopefully is in the transition period between summer & winter grasses.
It was an amazing day,the weather was incredible, the staff amazing, the course in great shape, play was slow because everyone was out playing. ..i can't blame them. .thanks
Decent course if you can get for a good price.
First time played here, and thought it was decent. Wasn’t impressed with the 1st hole, but after that it got better. If you can get this at a good price it’s worth playing.
