Good course, reasonable but not a high 4-5 star course

Great course, good shape, pace of play perfect, no waiting. I would play it again. lots of wildlife made the day interesting.

The course was in fair shape. The greens were far better than the fairways. Old divots had not been filled in and many spots just off the fairways barely had any grass. In this part of Florida there is fierce completion to attract golfers and there are too many other good courses in the area to choose from to settle for an average round of golf. Certainly not a 4 star course as listed on Golfnow.

Great round. Fun was had by all. Signs to get there could be improved.

Staff was very diss oriented, club house/ market what ever you call it was a little quirky.

The course lacked markers and made for a lot of guessing of distances.

Course is tough , greens role good.

We played another course, Legends at Orange Lake, the day before and it was a great value and a pleasure to play. The Reserve was in fairly poor condition - tee boxes from the gold were over 1000 yards less than the scorecard listing; tee boxes from the whites were 600+ yards longer than the card listings. Hole #2 was listed at 292 yds. from the gold - actual tee blocks were at 157 yds - for a par four hole! The tee areas were only fair, fairways thin, bunkers very inconsistent; however the greens were fast and in good condition. Our round took over 5.5 hours and I was very disappointed with the experience. I'd recommend any golfer to stay away from this course.

It may not have been my smartest idea to go out on one of the Wetest and windiest days of the year. Especially with brand new irons. It was a tough day across the board with the wind and rain, but I made the most of it and had fun. This is a narrow golf course, so you will leave your driver in the bag for a lot of the round. Greens were a little bit slower because of the storm that had come through. I would like to play the course again once it warms up, definitely tests where your game is at.

What could be harder than to find an 18 hole golf course at a large resort clearly off Rt 192 in Orlando. Harder than you might think so allow time to navigate your way through the expansive complex!

We asked how to get to the Reserve at the main gate house and we were directed miles away to the main Legends course. We were turned around there, and told to follow signs to the "Market Place" and "McCord Academy." No signs to the Reserve so if you just park in the big Market Place car park, you will see the bag drop there. But it took us over 20 minutes to find it, so be aware.

Once on the course, it was a bit scruffy in places. The first few greens were patchy, but the rest were all in good shape. Fast.

The course was varied and challenging for my partner who plays off 1 and played off the back tees. I played off the forward tees and enjoyed myself. Water comes into play on a few holes and I did lose a ball on the back nine in one of the ponds.

We would play this course again if time allowed and we got another hot deal on GolfNow.

Our foursome of Northerners really enjoyed a great winter round. We all liked the layout. The price was on point for the course conditions. Nice range with grass tees but a little pricey for a bucket, but who cares. We got to play in winter! Credit card only for all purchases. Super friendly staff. Would definitely return!

Nice course, it was in good shape. The worst comment I can make is that it took forever for me to find this place. My GPS wasn't even close, and the resort is so large, that I needed to ask for directions from one of the employees working the security shacks at the entrance. The pro shop is buried near the resort check in building, and it took me a lot longer to search for it, which cut into my pre-round practice routine. They need more signs to guide golfers to the course. It wasn't very busy once on the course, and I enjoyed playing with another 2 single players. I'd play the course again, but would caution first timers to get good directions before playing.

My brother and I played the Legends Course at Orange lake last year and had a pleasant experience. We thought we would give the Reserve course a try. I was surprised that the pro shop was in a convenience store (the Marketplace). Before "hello" the attendant said "don't ask for range balls, we don't have any". OK....not a deal breaker, but when we got to the range there were several golfers on the range hitting balls - really?...come on. The starter didn't know the pin placement, or what that even meant. We asked about a beverage cart and were told it was available - it was not. I'm not feeling great at this point and I'm thinking we over paid for this experience.

We met a pleasant couple on the tee and began our round. As we hit our second shot we looked back to see 6 carts on the first tee. Apparently a family outing. Good timing on getting out in front of this golf course party.

From there things got better. The course was in pretty good condition and the greens rolled slow but true. Traps were generally raked. The round was well paced; 4 hours on the money and two groups let us play through. We saw a ranger once, but things moved well throughout the round.

There was no beverage cart and the single water cooler on each nine was dry. If you play the Reserve, bring your own. The only available food at the turn was vending machine sandwiches, but they were passable. Lunch for 2 (2 chicken salad sandwiches, 2 beers and chips) was $28 - credit card only at Orange Lake.

The cart attendant at the end of the round was very pleasant and overall, I would play this course again with lower expectations and a close eye on the price - good deal at $25, but there are a lot of options in the Orlando area for tourists golfers in the $50 range. I am generally not a complainer and good course conditions and pace of play go a long way to make up for any short comings. I'll play Legends Course next time around.

I usually play play this course a few times a year. Dec. 23 2016 was the 1st time this year. My son and I were greeted by a friendly staff. The course was in the best condition since being rebuilt. Fairways, 1st cut of ruff, and fringes were beautiful. The greens were excellent and true and fast. The only thing that could be improved was a few Tee boxes. We played in 3 hours and 25 minutes.

Driven past many times and never gave it too much thought

Really enjoyed this course. My wife and I are both senior golfers and do not hit it as long as we once did but found this course fair yet challenging. Finished the round in 3.5 hours. Pace of play really suited us. Course and greens in good condition. We have booked two more rounds here during our vacation.

Coure was in great condition and the staff was amazing. Great day, can't wait to get back out there!

Really nice course - staff apologetic that it wasn't quite up to scratch due to the long dry weather spell. However it seemed fine to us, pace of play was excellent - just on 3.25 hours. We had a good day and would definitely go back again

I've read earlier reviews that said the greens were in bad shape and I've even played this course in the recent past when the greens were in really bad shape; however, the greens have recovered and were in really good shape. I've always enjoyed the challenging, but short layout of this course. The staff is super friendly and being that this course resides on a resort, there are so many amenities available to you including a wonderful bakery in the Pro Shop. The downside to this course residing on a resort is that there are way too many tourists who play this course and destroys the pace of play. The pace of play this time was horrible because there were so many tourists there with their kids preparing for some sort of kids golf tournament. The staff did not warn us of this when we checked in, but they were so gracious to give us a free round the next time we come back. All in all, the course is great for the value, but beware of the pace of play issues due to all the tourists who play this course often. And let me remind you that this course is very short AND tight, but fun!
