The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort

A nice course well looked after, ended up playing a 4 ball ( booked as a 2 ball) wasn't a problem, at check in a little hectic. One young boy and 16 people trying to check in!!! The course is definitely worth a look, challenging but very playable and good scoring possible, would recommend it and certainly play it again

This is a nice course, located in a great resort. The greens were spotty and in need of maintenance, fertilizer and water. Fairways were ok but also had a number of bad spots. The rough was mostly weeds. I did like the course but it could be maintained better.

I thought the course was pretty good. I'm not from Florida, and don't know the weather situation, but the course seems to be getting the care and maintenance it needs. The greens need work, but they look to be on the way up. The seemed to be filling it. The day we played they had been pretty heavily sanded, so the experience was not great, but it certainly looked to be needed.

I though the layout was good - narrow off the tees.

Having read previous reviews of the poor condition of some green and fairways, my expectation was managed. Since I got a $20 deal and not the full rate, it was ok but had I paid previously advertised rate I would have been disappointed This is a really nice course that needs quite a bit of work and time to recover. There is evidence that this is underway in many places with re-turfing in various areas. A few of the greens were virtually unplayable as the holes had been cut in some of the worst areas of damage which seemed strange given that most of the greens were large and had areas in better condition where locating the holes in these area would reduce even more wear and tear in the damaged areas. Hopefully the course will get back to peak condition sometime soon, as I said it's a good, challenging course in a nice setting but right now $20 is about right.

We have played this course numerous times and always enjoy the challenge. The course this time was in reasonable condition. The tees were in need of attention due to golfers not replacing divots or the weather. All in all enjoyable.

The course has shown decline over the past two years since it was sold by the Holiday Inn group. Rough spots on many of the greens and bare patches on most fairways, which were very hard. I only paid $15 (Hot Deal) and thought that was too much. I stay at the resort, but will not play there again.

Booked this via GolfNow, great value for money 2 ball and a buggie for less than $50. Greens were true and receptive, tees ok, fairways excellent. Some viery challenging holes equally good as the more expensive courses that we played but for a quarter of the price. Just lacks a club house/bar at the end of the round. It may have one but we didn't find it. Would definitely play it again next time.

With Golf now I was able to play here for $19. Normally it is way more expensive. I enjoy the layout greens in nice condition

Left skycaddie on cart, returned an hour later and all the staff had was the magnetic clip that attaches to the post. Said that's all they found. No golfers behind us so one can make their own assumptions. They were also in a big hurry to offload the carts and get us out of there.

Played the course on the 9th and 13th. The course was decent for the money. The beverage cart attendant was wonderful as were the starters. Can't say the same for the inside staff.

The inside staff was not friendly at all and have the appearance that they didn't care whether we were there or not.

We purchased beer prior to the round that was lukewarm at best. Suggested to the staff that they needed ice in the self serve container and needed to be restocked. At the turn they had done neither. Frustrating for $5 beers.

Interesting layout, but somewhat disappointed in the condition of the fairways and tee-boxes. Greens were fair at a medium speed. Gives the appearance that the maintenance budget has been severely cut. Still charging for a top rate course though.

Water. Water. Water. What happened this course needs water bad. Fairways way to hard and lots of brown or no grass at all spots. Greens hard and fast. Ball marks on greens not repaired and there's lots of them. People not fixing them. I've seen this course lots lots better in previous years. Since gone downhill.

Read reviews that said this was a 3 1/2 4 star resort and course. Maybe the Legends is better, but this is a course in need of attention and better care. Not to bad a layout, but I've played plenty of courses in the area with better conditions for less money and better value.. Really disappointed. .

The starters and attendants are top notch, know what they are doing, and really was the highlight of the afternoon. Attention to detail, and course maintenance are #'s 2 and 3 after customer service if you want to be above 2 1/2* course.

need maintenance, they charge like a 5 star course because of visitors from other states, I'm Orlando local and there are lots of better courses cheaper than this one

The welcome wasn't very warm in the clubhouse. I wasn't given a scorecard and had to go back for one! There were no tees in the cart (always had them in years gone by). No course planner either. The course was scruffy with many bare patches. There were no course marshals which were needed as there were people playing with no golf etiquette as there was a four ball ahead of us who refused to call us thru - so we ended up driving past them missing 1 hole out to get ahead! Very disappointed as I have played here whenever we have staying here on site before - over a 25 year period. The worst it's ever been

Haven't played it for a few years. It's in OK shape at best. Payed $39 so can't be too upset but won't be making it a priority to go back.

Play in Feb and grass still dormant. Greens ran fast. Very tight course in spots.

The course is fun to play- it is narrow in spots, quality is not is good as it could be but I find that on almost every course I play, I enjoyed my rounds and will play it again
