The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
About
There are two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club. The Reserve is the newer of the championship golf courses although technically it could be considered the older of the two. Originally designed in 1982 by Joe Lee, 16 years before the Arnold Palmer-designed Legends was added, the course was completely redesigned in 2005. New water features and more sand were added and seven holes were rerouted and redesigned. One hole that was made more challenging was the fifth hole. A long par 4 was transformed into a long par 3 that plays to almost 215 yards. In addition to the four golf courses, Orange Lake also boasts a lighted driving range and putting green as well as two chipping greens, one which features a sand bunker.

OK course
Good value for money. A little narrow in places. Pretty good greens. Would play again.
Very tight fairways
Very tight fairways. Had to think about every hole. Not as pretty as Legends at Orange Lake but played harder with narrower fairways. Would play again.
Orange Lake Reserve
Narrow fairways, had to use irons off the tee at times.
decent course
Decent condition, course fun to play. Over priced in feb. Just like most of the courses in this area.
Enjoyable course
First round of our vacation. Friendly staff from the Pro shop to the starter, Don. Played at 7:48 and everyone in the group liked the course. Tee's and fairways were fine. Greens were firm and rolled well. Course over all was fairly flat, but fun to play. Would definitely play again.
Course was lacking
Yardage markers are way off. Our group had two gps and every tee box marker was 10 to 25 yards off maybe to make the course seem longer as it is already a short course. There where no ball washers on any of the tees. We never saw a ranger during our round which could have been a problem if play was slower.
This course has interesting holes especially, the par threes.
This course will allow you to have an enjoyable time while holding your interest and challenge.
Nice layout. Good condition
Great layout. True greens. Very good condition for fairways, tees and greens. Rough and waste areas not so good. Good value if you can get a full round in for under $60.
Reserve you tee time
lots of undulations and turns with narrow fairways... fun to play...
the course has some very interesting areas
Very challenging for the first few holes then opens up but virtually on each hole be aware of the woods and if you slice watch the villas
not all tees open
As a short course in the first place they should have the back tees open and for the most part they were closed or moved way up. Very short from the forward tees and not much of a challenge. The green were great though and the holes the tees were back were good to play.
Back Again for a great day of golf!!
We love this course. We play it every time we are in Orlando and the more we play it the more fun it is. For the money you can't beat the Reserve. My wife says this is a fun and fair course for the ladies and I can't agree more concerning the men.
Quietly appealing course
The course is quiet and serene for the most part. It is Kaiden with large trees and foliage. The grounds are well maintained and the course is challenging for a beginner/intermediate player.
A tight course with challenging shots.
I like the fact that you are challenged with your shots
Great Day
FANTASTIC!!!!!! well worth it. would play it again in an instant.
Good tune up course
I played the Reserve as my first round since last September in Minnesota- but have played it several times in past years. It's a fairly tight course but fair, in general. The weather was cold- hooded sweatshirt and rain jacket with some wind so club selection was a constant issue. I don' think the course was in as good condition as in years past.
Good challenge
Course is challenging and a good play, but only play here when the price is right. Good facility and always in good shape.
Great value for money
This course is one of the best values in area. Compares to others in variety of holes and condition equally while half the price.
The staff is very friendly!
Staff was very friendly! We were a 3 some. Paired up with a single. The single was a very nice man staying at Orange Lake. Playing conditions were average. Nothing special. Fairways were thin. I know it's snow bird season but the price of $50+ is too much for this course. And $7 for 30 balls is too much for the range. Just being honest. Thank you very much for your time.
January Golf!
If you can pick it up at a fair price this is a nice course. Greens in great shape, fairways nice, rough very dry but seasonal. Staff very very condescending. I think the Marshall would hurt himself if he had to smile! Nasty! Don't forget to ring the buzzer for bag pickup or you're going to hear about it. Staff need to realize this is a tourist town......relax and smile a little!
