The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort

While the overall course conditions were okay, the greens were beyond slow. The course design is very good but when the greens are that slow it's not fun to play. My playing partner had a 40 foot putt that took a full backswing and could barely get it to the hole, " with no control of where the putt was going".
I lost my interest in playing before we had made the turn, The greemskeeper should be fired!
I don't understand how so many people gave this golf course a good review. Were we really playing the same course?

Great course, first nine, narrow fairway and short, keep your dirver away if you r a long hitter otherwise you will find the bush at the end of dogleg or houses, the back nine is more forgiving and a good test of golf. I was with my wife and she like the course as the woman tee was some 100 yrds ahead of blue tee and easier for them.

Very Interesting course set within a resort complex. Some holes were bordered by houses but others were in a very rural and picturesque setting. Course had some challenging holes but main challenge was from the well maintained greens that were hard to read with their undulations and multi-levels. Only problems was it was busy and there were a number of hold-ups due to some slow play. At one hole there was a bit of a log-jam with 3 different games queuing at the Tee box. But non-the-less a very enjoyable course

The club joined me up with 3 Korean gentlemen who were in town for a convention. Fortunately they had played the course previously so showed me where to hit it!
Enjoyed the course - fairways well prepared and greens were average speed compared to some that I have played this week.
Good fun course overall but too challenging which is what I needed.

Very short from red-tee. Pretty easy. Beautiful layout.

My grandson (16) and I played the course. I was some surprised that the cost at the course was the same as the Golfnow.com price, but then paid the "extra" cost for using the GolfNow web site. Also, when I called the course relative to the cost of renting a set of clubs for my son, I was told that they were $45, but when we got to the course they would have only been $12.50.

Arrived at the course to super friendly staff, got my rental clubs, nice pro shop by the way. Ohhhh you have to get the pastries, just next to the pro shop, before you head out on the course. UM - UM GOOD. I bought two sleeves of balls, only lost one ball. Don't get me wrong, the course is challenging. Very relaxing, and enjoyable. Saw a baby gator.
What I thought was a little unusual, was that the grounds crew on the course, would always stop their equipment as I addressed the ball, however when my wife was at address, the equipment never stopped or slowed down. My wife definitely took notice.

This is an older style course and not too long. Good yardage for the ladies. Easy from 6000 yards. More of a challenge from back tees. There are a few challenging holes off the tee that open up after. Short is almost always better than long.

Had a wonderful time. Well laid out course. Slow greens.

This course offered a very good deal for such short notice. Be sure to head out early as the tourists associated with the course will begin making their way onto the course for morning strolls. It should be noted this only happened once but I could see it had a lot of potential for distractions. This will not keep me from coming back.

Fun to play but must hâve stater let us start nô body make respect sarting time

This course is well-maintained. Generally a short course, but challenging due to narrowness. Play was slow. Staff was friendly.

Played reserve twice whilst on vacation as I enjoyed the course so much ,
the greens were excellent , completed both rounds in around 3 hrs ( 2 ball , early morning tee times )
Does seem to hold water a little so a couple of fairways were under repair and some areas not able to access with the cart
Overall found the course great fun with a good mixture of holes and just the right length & difficulty to suit all golfers ( suggest 0-9 h,cap to play back tees though )
Will return to play next year ,

My wife and I visit this course yearly, I would recommend this course to anyone visiting the Florida/Clermont area. We are what you all would call snow birds from Kansas. Keep up the good works guys hope to see you soon!!! :-)

Enjoyable round of golf. Ideal course playing off the tees according to your handicap. This was a new experience for us from England where ladies normally play off the red tees. Certainly made the competition between husband and wife very challenging even with a big difference in handicaps. Will play again whilst here on holiday.

Good layout with some great golf holes, especially par 3 5th hole. Staff we're very friendly and very helpful.

It is a fun course for a senior. Some short par 4's, but some very challenging par 4's also. Greens were in great condition. Only complaint is credit card needed for everything. Dont bring cash as it is no good. Employees were very helpful.

Fairways good, condition greens need attention. Play was a little slow. Overall I would recommend this course to a friend.

We really liked the layout of the course and thought it was a fair test of golf. The only negative was that the greens needed some work in removing foreign grass patches from the putting surface. This course is a keeper!
