The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
About
There are two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club. The Reserve is the newer of the championship golf courses although technically it could be considered the older of the two. Originally designed in 1982 by Joe Lee, 16 years before the Arnold Palmer-designed Legends was added, the course was completely redesigned in 2005. New water features and more sand were added and seven holes were rerouted and redesigned. One hole that was made more challenging was the fifth hole. A long par 4 was transformed into a long par 3 that plays to almost 215 yards. In addition to the four golf courses, Orange Lake also boasts a lighted driving range and putting green as well as two chipping greens, one which features a sand bunker.

Great course but customer service can be shaky.
I really like this course and it's sister course Orange Lake Legends. Both courses are always in great condition. This course winds through golf villas which definitely come in to play with a bad shot but the windows are well protected so you don't have to worry about breaking any glass. The only bad thing about this course is some of the staff. Some employees are very nice while others are clowns. A cart boy named Chris from New York seems to think it is okay to try to argue with a customer over a problem he could have easily solved. Having said that, I would absolutely recommend this course regardless of the few bad apples that work here.
Nice day of golf
Good golf, fair price. Some water hazards in play. A bit to short, but overall a good course with a lot of birdie opportunities.
Nice layout, great condition, very enjoyable
First time I have played this course and I was very pleased with the layout and condition. A fair test from the back tees at 6510 yards. Greens rolled nice, had more break that I could see, but the speed was very consistent. Overall a great course.
Can't wait to play there again!
It was a very well maintained course, the staff was supper friendly and informative.
great arnold palmer designed course
Well groomed, maintained bunkers, smooth greens. No pushing or being pushed. moderate complexity. A chance to use every club in your bag unless you chip in.
good layout maintained pretty course
course was well taken care of lots of scenery maintained fairways and greens would play again
nice course
I am an owner there...your price was better than owners price...good course for the avg golfer
This course at times can be a bit tight off the tee.
As mentioned above tight from some tees and lots of water hazards to contend with. Enjoyable round.
The Reserve Course
Good condition, fairways and greens were well maintained - the course isnsurrounded by holiday apartments, so at some holes you can feel pretty clautrophobic!!
Pace of play was not quick - a lot of hackers around!!!
course is great
The course is in great condition, good practice facility, staff very friendly, but the pace of play is bad, 5.3 hs is to much, in a par 3 we have 3 group in front waiting , they need a Ranger more frequently on the course to keep up the pace
Mr bob
This course starts out easy but gets harder after a few holes. It can be very challenging for people who have driver control problems. The greens are very nice and consistent. I like this course better than the famous Orange Lake Legends course. It was shorter but tighter. The legends has more traps on the edge of the fairways that are like magnets. I saw 2 large alligators at Orange lake Golf Courses in the lakes there.
Good experience, would play again
Good layout
Greens were slow
No Marshall to speed up play-had to wait on most of back 9, still played in just over 4 hrs
excellent condition
all course is in excellent condition, and great price,
Good course in great condition
We enjoyed the experience at Orange Lake Reserve. The staff was courdial and delivered timely service from bag drop to loading our clubs after the round. The course was fair and reasonable. Most hazards were easy to see. The only improvement I can suggest it to provide either a course layout on the score card or GPS on the carts.
Excellent Value
I felt for the price, this was an excellent choice while in the Orlando area. The staff is super friendly. I believe for the average golfer, you will enjoy the moderate challenge. I will be back!
Great little course
This course is short but so much fun. It had a few challenges that were fun. We got a great deal on Golf Now and will certainly be back.
I use every club in my bag
A fun course and had a great time. Has plenty of lakes , trees and rental bungelows a long the course on the resort. Had a few kids taking a short cut through the course that made me bogey, but easy enough to get birdies to even out. Was not crowded, so I did a redo on the hole. I would play again, but it was so hot and there was little shade on the open course Resevre. Will play there again. The course was well maintained.
keep it straight
Keep it straight and on the fairways and you will comfortably play to your h'cap. Nice course but with some pretty bland and mass produced condos, but when you get to wetlands and woods, it's a great view. Don't always need a driver as accuracy over distance is the key here.
Greens are OK but felt quite slow, plenty of big breaks but nothing subtle.
I will be going back, now i have a bit of course knowledge, i recon i can shave at least 6 shots off my first score of 91
