The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort
About
There are two 18-hole championship courses and two nine-hole courses at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club. The Reserve is the newer of the championship golf courses although technically it could be considered the older of the two. Originally designed in 1982 by Joe Lee, 16 years before the Arnold Palmer-designed Legends was added, the course was completely redesigned in 2005. New water features and more sand were added and seven holes were rerouted and redesigned. One hole that was made more challenging was the fifth hole. A long par 4 was transformed into a long par 3 that plays to almost 215 yards. In addition to the four golf courses, Orange Lake also boasts a lighted driving range and putting green as well as two chipping greens, one which features a sand bunker.

The Reserve at Orange Lake provided us with a great afternoon of golf. Had many laughs with the group.
Greens were great. Practice facilities good. Looking forward to playing again.
Slow greens
Thev golf course was in fair shape but the greens were super slow. Saw plenty of gators, that was a plus.
THE COURSE IS DIFFICULT BUT FAIR.
THE COURSE WAS GOOD AND ALL THE PERSONAL WHERE FRIENDLY AND THE DAY WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. WOULD PLAY AGAIN.
Orange Lake Resort-Reserve Course
Not a bad course, but it would have been nice if the pro shop had told us to purchase a course map. No map was available on the scorecard, no GPS on the cart and no description available on each tee. We were done golfing when a staff member told us a yardage book was available for purchase. The course needs some work-greens were just OK, but I would still recommend the course to play to others.
good course - good time
Good course with many challenging but fair holes. All handicaps should enjoy this course.
Staff was nice.
Interesting day
Front played in just over 2 hours. Then we came to a logjam when we turned and went to the par 5 10th tee box. Somehow there was a group on the green, 2 in the fairway, and 2 groups on the tee box. Took us over 2 hours to play the next 5 holes. Called the clubhouse and the problem was fixed, but wondered what happened. Played the same course a few days earlier and completed the round in 4 and 1/2 hours. Other than that the staff was friendly and the course was a fair deal for the price.
Course was in good shape
Starter and crew did a great job. Lacking service on the end. No one there to help with clubs or service for anything. Carried our own clubs out,.Not a big deal, but, someone should have been there.
Excellent Course
The greens were immaculate! Challenging course due to design and natural treed surroundings
Worst Course I've Played in Orlando
This is the worst course I've played in Orlando. Terrible layout cut right through the middle of the resort condos. Some tee boxes sit virtually right at the intersections of busy roads. I would not be surprised to hear that more than a few resort guests have been hit by balls.
An enjoyable challenge.
Course was in excellent shape. Club selection is important, best to keep the ball in the fairway.
slow, dry round.
Course was poorly marked. Yardages did not match the card. No marshall to move play along. Did not see a beverage cart on the back nine.
Very Nice Course...........Great Bang for the Buck
This was experice for the price we paid. The course was in very nice conditions, with the greens holding and running true. Not too many water hazards that came into play. Played from the tips and easily manageable for a player with a handicap less than 10. Staff was friendly and overall nice experience. I certainly would play this course again, but understand the Legends course is highly recommended at the same complex.
Nice course with some challenging holes
Course was in decent shape and the price was in range because it waas booked through Golf Now.
Good course for the average golfer
Course was in great condition. Greens and fairways were VERY clean, greens were very fast once the dew dried. Not too difficult, but that is what I was looking for since I hadn't touched a golfclub since September. Not a lot of places to lose golfballs (which is always good for someone that only golfs 5 or 6 times a summer in Michigan). Well worth the price.
Fun Course
We selected this course based on the location and convenience. We are glad that we did! The course was fun and a challenge for skilled and novice players. The Back nine was in much better shape that the first 9, but all holes were fairly well maintained. For the price I think this was a great bargain and would absolutely play again!
course only average - not comparable to the legends
There was litte help and information from the staff. Not comparable to the legends course.
tight fairways
Nice course, you have to hit the ball straight. The back nine gets tighter as you go around. Good condition and the greens were quite good with a noticeable grain.
Nice course, easy to get to.
Everything was in great shape, and our tee time was right on time. Great pace of play. Has some risk reward holes.Would play again.
