About
Located just 20 minutes from downtown in the Forest Hills section of Tampa, Babe Zaharias Golf Course meanders through a tree-lined residential neighborhood. The golf course measures a modest 6,020 yards, but should not be taken lightly. Although both nines on "The Babe" are par 35, the back side sports four par-4 holes in excess of 400 yards, providing a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

I saw I played
This is a nice narrow course. Fairways could use some help. Some greens were in need of repair.
Very bad greens today
I played the course before covid and enjoyed the course and conditions but today it was almost not fit to play
Course conditions
Spoke with Superintendent-manager after my round. He said all courses in the area are experiencing poor conditions. Not true, I have played others in the area, and they are nowhere as bad as Babe's. It's a shame, my guess, is it's a managing company issue, just collecting revenue...
Greens are not good
Always a fun track & layout. About half the greens are in bad condition. They did over seed, so maybe this will be better in a couple weeks.
Vintage Course
Nice older course, friendly staff. I played on a “hot deal”, sadly hit the course when greens were patchy, rough was deep, and course maintenance was down. Got hung up on the front nine behind four beginner golfers (3.5 hours), replayed the front to avoid the group on the back.
Greens need attention. The course is well designed and the support staff is must helpful
Great value
Old fashioned course w/o homes everywhere. Reseeding has greens VERY slow. Fairways in good shape.
OLD COURSE,IN A GOOD WAY
Short course w/o homes so doesn't feel like you're playing in people's backyard. Requires strategic thinking to score well. If you're playing for the first time, invest in the descriptive book even if you have GPS.
Not the Babe
This course is ok, nothing special. It has some nice holes and a couple really tough holes. I did enjoy the guys I was paired up with. I don’t think I need to play here again
Good course
Good course for the money. Gives you a challenge and makes you think about some of your shots, but very playable. No driving range, only a net to hit into. Nice practice chipping area and practice greens. Only issue I had was with the booking they charged me twice but the staff was nice enough to give me a rain check.
