SunRidge Canyon Golf Club provides adventure amid natural terrain over 7,002 yards of par-71 golf. The golf course was laid out by the golf course architect Keith Foster, who hid the golf course in the ridges and canyons of the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, one of the last untouched bastions of the Southwestern United States.

The SunRidge Canyon Golf Club's signature hole is the 17th, and it is unique, giving golfers the option of shooting a 209-yard, par 3 over a box canyon today and then going for a 152-yard par 3 from an elevated tee tomorrow. Foster discovered the elevated-tee opportunity during a tour of the golf course while it was being constructed and added the Canyon set of tees right then. The vistas he knew golfers would get were enough to convince Foster to set up the second set of tees.

After a round of golf at the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, head back to the Ridge Room, which attracts visitors and locals for the great view and Southwestern cuisine.

Sunridge Canyon Golf Course

I've played Sunridge Canyon golf course several times. It's a great course with incredible views. Course is always in excellent condition and is challenging but not too difficult. Speed of play is good. Very seldom will you encounter slow play.

The staff at Sunridge is very friendly and accommodating. Prices area very reasonable. Overall it's a great place to play!

I highly recommend Sunridge for your next round.

Great track, great conditions, great people. Must play!

From arrival to departure, I felt like a Member at a country club. I was immediately greeted in the parking lot by a gentleman who welcomed my group and me. He introduced us to the starter, Tom, who was one of the most kind people I’ve ever met. The pro shop was immaculate and very well designed. The Pro, Scott, checked us in. Talk about going above and beyond. Over small talk I told him the swing was a little rusty and I needed to bring my A game for the group I was with. Unscheduled, he took me over to the driving range and gave me a 5 minute tune-up. The course was in fantastic shape, greens rolled pure. The Wicked Six earns its name and will keep me coming back for more. Although we didn’t stay for food, the restaurant and outside area looked super nice. Fire pit, outside bar, music. If you haven’t been in some time, it’s time to experience the new SunRidge Canyon!

Great track, scenic views, friendly golf staff! Repeat list for sure!

This course has gotten so much better over the years. If you haven’t played here in a while, take this as your sign to head back! The experience is great from start to finish. Outside staff getting you set up, inside shop team making sure you feel like a member at a private club. Home of the wicked 6! 9 holes into the canyon 9 holes back to the clubhouse. The course was in great shape especially for this time of year. Played poorly and still had fun, it’s just one of those courses. Thanks Sunridge for the hospitality!

Great Golf and Spectacular Views

First time playing SunRidge Canyon Golf Club. I came out with a group of friends yet I don't get to play very often. I am so glad I cleared my schedule, what a treat! Even during this Pandemic customer service was great, everyone was so nice and helpful from the cart guys to the shop staff all made us feel welcomed. There was a wonderful cart girl named Connie that was so attentive and we saw several times. A nice bonus they have water/ice machines on the course. The course is challenging yet beautiful and the conditions were great for this time of the year. The views and wildlife add a nice distraction as well. They are getting ready for their summer closure but I will be back when they reopen for sure. I can't believe I have lived in the valley this long without playing this great course!

A great golf challenge

The greens at Sunridge Canyon are in amazing condition. They are fast, true and receptive. And the fairways were better than expected as the transition has come in nicely. Stay out out the traps. They are tough! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Make sure you play here before they close in early August. The price is right. Like many places the restaurant and bar are closed. Look forward to their reopening.

What a value!!

Amazing course! Coolest lay out I played in Scottsdale. The Wicked Six is nothing to mess with. It gobbled up a few of my golf balls lol. The view out over the course between 16 and 17 is breathtaking. Great practice facilities. Great clubhouse. Great experience.

Not Worth the $

Course has cool layout.

Pace of play was PATHETIC.

Greens were great.

Fairways and tee boxes are horrible.

I know quite a few courses that are much nicer summer conditions for less than $50

Not worth the money.

Had to wait for 20 minutes at each tee box. Way behind pace of play. No course ranger. Course was burnt up. Definitely not worth the money. Won’t be back.

First Off

Course is as I remember it, Tough. Back Nine and last 6 very tough golf course and mostly all up hill and not a lot of room for spraying the ball....if your a high handicap you may not enjoy the track. Lot's of carry and more target golf than most courses. Green were absolutely perfect and rolled really nice. We were first off the my wife and I played in 3 1/2 hours.....

Great course!

Sunridge Canyon is such a great course in the area. The work they have done the last few years with new greens and the bunker renovation made this course even better. Staff is always great and friendly. Make sure to go check out this course if you are in the area!

Great design

Burnt grass or no grass all over course , slow greens and pro shop staff that couldn’t care less of issues . GM called me after I complained to Staff then I send a email to voice my concerns. GM blames me for not properly addressing his Staff or course issues ! Don’t waste your time or money to be treated like I was , I guess I should be happy we played in unsatisfactory conditions and not voice my displeasure of course issues !

Nice Course but Scott in the pro shop is rude and arrogant....he lost one good customer with his negativity and lack if a customer service skill

The course scenery is beautiful and the conditions are better than average. Pace of play is slow but is a beautiful place. The restaurant has great food and I spent a lot of money there! I will miss it.

Marcus, Brandy and the the golf club attendants and wait staff Are good people. And I wish them the best.

I was a member and joined with excitement and anticipation of playing a lot of golf, making some new friends and enjoying some relaxing and fun Golf. I signed my son up on Friday the 28th and paid in full to join me as a member and set a tee time for Sunday March 1 anticipating an amazing day of golf and a dinner to follow! I went to check in with my Son on Sunday and was told by Scott, not only was he not welcome but they are not accepting any new members and his membership was revoked and would be refunded! Oh and if he wanted to play he needed to pay the full price.

I was in shock! I can understand how his name might not be in the books yet but to create such a negative environment with a full paying member is totally unacceptable to me. He could have simply let us play and we could have figured out the details sometime during this week. I choose not to be treated like some lying idiot for trying to play golf with my son on a beautiful Sunday.

This sounds like drama and a vent which partially it is but the drama and loss of a customer is all due to Scott’s approach in handling this situation.

I want Sun Ridge management and ownership to understand that poor customer service will lead to poor reviews and poor word of mouth. I belong to a major men’s league that plays at lookout mountain, we were looking for a course to try one month and I WAS going to work a deal with Sun Ridge Canyon...no more...oh and do you think any of the 80 members of my men’s league are going to ever play sun ridge canyon, no way!

I have many friends who play goals regularly and have never been to Sun ridge...needless to say they will never play there now...

I have a PGA and LPGA Golf pro who are my friends and live in my neighborhood. Needless to say , we will not be singing the praises of Sun Ridge Canyon...I am sorry but with the supply ru nice Golf courses in the Scottsdale area, I am choosing to find another place to play. I am a member at Golf a tech and they will also hear about the treatment received at Sun Ridge.

I suggest if you are looking for a place to play, there are better options for you to spend your time and money....

If you do play Sunridge to be fair, it is beautiful and they have good food. For me, I prefer places that make you feel like a valued customer and welcome.

Thanks for listening!
