SunRidge Canyon Golf Club provides adventure amid natural terrain over 7,002 yards of par-71 golf. The golf course was laid out by the golf course architect Keith Foster, who hid the golf course in the ridges and canyons of the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, one of the last untouched bastions of the Southwestern United States.

The SunRidge Canyon Golf Club's signature hole is the 17th, and it is unique, giving golfers the option of shooting a 209-yard, par 3 over a box canyon today and then going for a 152-yard par 3 from an elevated tee tomorrow. Foster discovered the elevated-tee opportunity during a tour of the golf course while it was being constructed and added the Canyon set of tees right then. The vistas he knew golfers would get were enough to convince Foster to set up the second set of tees.

After a round of golf at the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, head back to the Ridge Room, which attracts visitors and locals for the great view and Southwestern cuisine.

Great veiws and great greens

Golf course was good. Conditions were good as well. BUT..... when we got home and looked at our bill the course had charge me $12.00 for two bottles of water that were in our cooler when we arrived. $12.00 for two bottles of water!!! No one mentioned that we were being charged Pro Shop never said a word about charge. I just paid $114.00 US to play your course and you have the nerve to charge you customers $6.00 for a bottle of water. Really guys don't nickel and dime your paying customers.

Course had great views

Liked the views. Course was not in great shape for the price. Needed to have been over seeded and greened up. Greens rolled OK. Workers were a 10!!!

Excellent experience

Very first class experience. Beautiful course with great variation in holes. Very friendly staff - the ranger retrieved my wedge that I left on the practice tee and had it to me within one hole. Recommend the course to anyone visiting the valley.

Course needs work and price reduction...

The course has always been one of our favorites but this time it was just awful. The greens need to be rolled. They were lumpy from the other cup placements and also they had been painted. Made for an awful putting experience.

In addition, the areas around the sand traps were chopped up and there were gaps bewteeen the sod which they let die off.

Also - the famed 17th tee box closed which has you drive over the canyon to the green. It’s always closed. Makes no sense.

For the money they charge approx $115 - this was not acceptable. Other local course are in better condition and charge a bit less. And you couldn’t even tee of from the best spots on some holes!

Very disappointing. The owner has told us how much he is putting into course improvements but we have yet to see it.

Won’t be back anytime soon!

Spectacular Desert layout

WOW Another Keith Foster gem! He used the desert in a magnificent layout! Greens are fair but you better figure out uphill and downhill! The new Scottish bunkers are plenty tough! It’s a must play inScottsdale.

Nice Layout

nice layout and course was in good shape. Houses line many fairways which takes away from the "out in the desert" feel. Greens were FAST and rolled true. I'd go back. A little pricey though.

Excellent layout great views

Played course for the first time. GPS on carts made it easy, especially with an occasional blind shot and many elevation changes. Course growing in nicely from overseeding. Greens in nice shape. Worth the drive and money. There seemed to be lots of locals here so it must be one of the nice courses to play while in Scottsdale. The starter was cordial professional and made us all feel welcomed. Would play again.

Fun course with challenging par 3’s

This is a great course. Pace of play was a little slow due to cart path only but overall was a fun round. Some of the black tee boxes were not mowed but the rest of the course was in great shape.
