SunRidge Canyon Golf Club

About
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club provides adventure amid natural terrain over 6,823 yards of par-71 golf. The golf course was laid out by the golf course architect Keith Foster, who hid the golf course in the ridges and canyons of the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, one of the last untouched bastions of the Southwestern United States.
The SunRidge Canyon Golf Club's signature hole is the 17th, and it is unique, giving golfers the option of shooting a 209-yard, par 3 over a box canyon today and then going for a 152-yard par 3 from an elevated tee tomorrow. Foster discovered the elevated-tee opportunity during a tour of the golf course while it was being constructed and added the Canyon set of tees right then. The vistas he knew golfers would get were enough to convince Foster to set up the second set of tees.
After a round of golf at the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, head back to the Ridge Room, which attracts visitors and locals for the great view and Southwestern cuisine.

Painted greens
I played a month ago greens rolled alot better for them making $1000 every 7 mi. You would think they would have grass that rolled true on there greens. Real shame they rip folks off. Nice course but greens are garbage
Damaged Greens
The course is very difficult and the diseased/damaged greens made things worse.
Scenice, but very difficult
A very difficult course in the best of conditions, I'm sure. Even more difficult with the damaged greens, ratty fairways and watered sand traps. That explains the heavy hot deal discount.Typical Arizona golf play where slow-plying 4-somes won't even consider letting 1-somes or 2-somes play thru.
Garbage
Were told course eas in mid season form. Fairways were rough and there were 2 greens with huge patches of Fairway grass. Pace of play was very slow as they let a 5some out in front of us.
When we asked if the 5some was legit they said their pace of play guidelines were maintained, and that was it.
Will NEVER return to this overrated course.
Great course
An amazing course with spectacular views! the last 6th holes are tough, and the layout of 14th hole.and 18th hole is exceptional
Absolutely worth of the green fee.
Fun layout but….
This was my third time playing sun ridge canyon and thebl layout is great with unique challenges but still playable. Greens are fast and true, but couple gripes are that some tee boxes are very crowned and no level spot for tee off, sometime ball is below your feet and sometimes a little above. Also many greens were in very rough shape with patches and fertilizer effecting play. For a course that charge $230-240 a round I was expecting a little more refinement on the course over all. Still had a good time but it does need some tlc in some areas.
Just a great experience.
We were met by friendly, helpful staff. We had a tasty lunch and played a well paced round.
Greens have been stressed but roll perfectly. Fairways are filling in nicely from the heat.
Layout is interesting with plenty of elevation change and vista views.
Green speed was fast and ran true.
We saw a bobcat and a fox who paid us no attention.
They have an outdoor pizza oven but only on Wednesdays. I guess we will have to come back !
Canadian
One of my favourites in AZ . Unfortunately the prices have jumped quite significantly in the last couple of years . Our Canadian $’s don’t go as far , especially now . Great Course
Awesome day. Course in winter conditions. Sand on several greens. Greens were still very good.
High expectations
Staff are exceptional. If I paid full price I would have screamed bloody murder. No driving range, no putting practice. Construction on some holes. Greens appeared to spray painted and the consistency of old indoor outdoor carpet. Yardage was suspect.
