Desert Canyon Golf Club

The course was in very good condition, although the greens were very fast. The course also was friendly for women players, and my wife enjoyed playing it.

The staff was very friendly, especially when a few of them learned we were from out of town. They struck up nice conversation and even "loaned" us a few extra balls from their "previously used collection" to ensure we had enough for the round.

I'd play this course again and recommend it for those making a trek to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. It is about a 30-minute drive from Old Town Scottsdale.

This was our first time playing Desert Canyon and it did not disappoint. We are first time Arizona snowbirds and we are looiking for nice courses with great scenery. In Desert Canyon we found both. The course is well manicured and is the greenest of all the courses we've played down here. The greens rolled a little slower than I think they normally are as they had quite a lot of sand on them but I feel like that was just bad timing. We even had a coyote follow us at the edge of a wash on two holes. This will definitely be a course we will revisit!

The course is very dated. For that reason it’s overpriced.

I enjoy playing here a few times a year while I am visiting Arizona during the winter months.

Windy day made for a tough round but course was in fantastic shape. Greens perfect, fast but true. Fairways in excellent condition. Great course for higher handicap golfers, not too long and mistakes aren’t as punishing as other nicer courses I’ve played. Round was 3:45. Great value for the deal we got on GN and would definitely play again.

Challenging, beautiful course. Well maintained. Staff was awesome. Pace of play was slow but the Marshall did everything he could to speed it up. Great course

Enjoyed my day but if it matters to you the greens have been sanded so are slow and not true.

The other reviews sum it up pretty good, place is in the best shape we have seen it in years. Greens were impeccable! Yes its a tighter shorter test of golf, but its still fun to play and the views are really good too

Great layout and view . Conditions excellent . Good staff and excellent value . My only criticism is that the the greens are too fast to accommodate quite a few pin placements . I don’t understand the reason course superintendents or members have a hard on about “our greens are fast !) balls roiling 40 feet past the hole or off the green is not real golf . Plus it’s adds a significant amount ot time to the round when a group plays tennis around the hole .

Course in great shape and greens were fast. Greens have a lot of slope in them so putting the flag in right spot is important. Back nine has great mix of holes.
