PalmValley
The course was good, some burnt out areas in a couple of the fairways, but overall it was in good shape.
Hairy greens
Overall course was in good shape but the greens need some attention.
Great experience all around
from the guys in the pro shop who are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. To the guys that load the bags into the cart, the starter, and a unique and beautiful layout of the course. It’s a great experience and I highly recommend it. The recently became under the Troon management or you can see the quality of improvements are obvious. Oh and did I mention the girls that work in the restaurant in the cart girl. Everybody is so nice and courteous
Course is in great shape -- greens are lightening fast right now -- prepare to 3-putt :)
A wonderful test of your game -- you could have a great day out here or a lousy one :)
Sand traps were a bit tough -- might need more sand.
Fun Day
This is a reasonable course in the west valley. Price is appropriate for the course conditions. Staff was truly terrific. Ubiquitously nice bunch of people. Condition were ver average for a public course. Greens were so slow! It was like putting on velcro.
We were paired with some very nice people and all in all really enjoyed a nice Easter Sunday afternoon. I would play this course again... especially at that price point.
I play here 25 times a year including throughout the summer. If you have tournaments they should be weekdays so they don’t interfere with us weekend warriors. I like the original north/south course but the west course requires enhancement to be worth what you charge.
Another AZ course taking advantage
It’s late March, on the tail end of the whackiest pandemic in modern history. AZ golf courses have made more money in the past calendar year than ever before. Since golf’s popularity and participation has vastly grown, golf courses have jacked their prices up 20-30%. Why not? Good business management right there. But to charge all that extra money and then not use any of the profit to reinvest into the course itself is dishonorable. The course was in pathetic condition. Fairways are all patchy. They said the greens are a 10 on speed. They are much more like a 6. The greens are super fuzzy and slow. The driving range? Not a spot to stand without falling into a divot. Very poor maintenance all around. I paid $70 to play here. I played West then North. It took me and my group just under 3 hours to play the West course - backed up since the first tee box. When we finally make the turn coming to the North course, there were 3 groups waiting on the tee box. None of which were in front of us on the West... They were letting groups start their rounds in front of us on our turn. We waited about 30 minutes before teeing off on the North #1. At that point, I could have already finished 16 holes at any other course. So I walked off after my tee shot at #1. Such an unbelievable cash grab of a golf course. Go play anywhere else for less than $70 and get a much better experience. Although the staff in the pro shop were really nice, doesn’t mend such a pathetic golf experience.
Save your money!
West course stinks. Dirt tee boxes, greens bumpy and about an 8.
3 groups on every box. Ranger said it would open up after 9 holes. After 9 holes went to North course 4 groups on the tee box!
12 holes in 4:10.
Walked off!
Slow foursome
The foursome in front of us didn’t care about pace of play . It could have been due to couples playing. Every time we came up to the tee box they were there and the fairway was always clear for them. Next group was always on the green or next tee box.
Good Course
A little pricey, but a nice courses. Very playable.
