Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Thursday at the Patriot
We played the Patriot for the first time on Tuesday so this was our second game. Tuesday starter Joe recommended that I play the same tees as my wife. Great advice.
The course is fair but challenging, the greens are in great shape but extremely difficult hole locations. Some are difficult to hold with good approach shots. Perhaps less shaving of the runoff areas would make it fairer.
Because hardly anyone was one the Patriot, the pass of play was wonderful. No one in front of us and no one behind us. We could have played under three hours. This was different than on Tuesday when we were held up the entire back nine.
We would certainly play it again.
Wigwam Patriot Review
Great pace. Less than 4 hours.
Course is a challenge for the short game.
Nice Resort
Very nice, friendly resort with three, old school, golf courses in great shape.
Wonderful resort course
Just a great time for my wife and I. Course in great condition, greens were quick but not hard to putt or gauge speed. Not too difficult, fairly wide fairways, good size greens (a couple small ones), not too many forced carries for lesser skilled golfers; nice for first round of the year after a winter layoff. I played the Patriot course from black (back) tees, 6000 yds. A little short, a number of 310-330yd par 4's, then they bite you with a 464yd par 4 18th. Very nice patio at Red's for post-round dinner. (see pic). Will definitely stay here on our next trip.
Course was in great condition
Enjoyed playing this course! Challenging small, rolling greens but the fairways were open with great landing areas. Two of us played 18 holes in 3 hours on a Friday morning!!
Great value for the money
My wife and I played the patriot course at Wigwam. All staff we met were pleasant, positive and very helpful. Course wa in nice condition. Surroundings were great. Got a little confused on hole 17 where we had to cross an aquifer. It was marked; just a little confusing. Recommend this course. Nice experience.
Patriot Course
The course is both fun and challenging...not too long. Well maintained fairways. However, most greens were patchy and rough causing puts to not run true.
Disappointed
The round started well with some reasonably challenging holes but lost its appeal as the round continued. Several short holes on the back disappointed. The 17th was the worst hole on the course. Rough on the left was so tall our group lost 3 balls.
Fairways were in good condition. Greens were very slow although the grass was good, please cut them down.
Very overpriced unless you pick up a deal.!
Disappointing
On vacation from New England and looking forward to a round at Wigwam, unfortunately the only time available was on The Patriot Course, raised rock hard greens that were poorly manicured, slow play, just a very disappointing experience. Only bad round of the week in which we played 6
Enjoyable Round
The course and the course amenities have the feel of a country club of the traditional style. There are attendants to meet you at the bag drop, men's locker rooms, an upscale restaurant and even a halfway snack shop that is tended. Of course, the Wigwam is a resort with many other amenities other than golf. As for the course itself, I was sent out on what is now being called the Patriot (formerly the Blue course [there are two other 18-hole courses available]). The fairways and greens are well maintained. Landing in the rough comes with a penalty as the rough was kept long. The course was loaded the day I played so the greens were a bit 'abused'. Too many players failed to fix their ball marks. The layout of the course is fairly ordinary with there being very little elevation change across the entire course. One hole has an odd tee shot across a concrete irrigation canal (seems a little out of place and utilitarian for the middle of an upscale golf course). There are water hazards, but they are not too much of a challenge, except for an island par 3 on the back nine--hit too much past the back edge of the green and your wet. Bunkers were sometimes challenging however for certain pin locations. Though I would not say this is a premier course, it is certainly trying to be. At the same time, I suspect that the course architects were tasked with keeping the course tame enough to make it enjoyable for winter visitors.
tough greens
It was a short course according to the card, but played longer. Greens were fast and hard.
New traps with great white sand. Excellent conditions.
Wigwam Patriot
The course was in good condition. The only drawback was it was cart path only because of the earlier rains. This made for a longer day because of this. The pace of play wasn't bad considering.
Course in nice shape. Nice updated bunkers
I played as a single at 10:45am had a foursome in front of me and the pace of play was great. Finished my round in just under 3.5 hours. All sand bunkers have been upgraded and they are in excellent shape. Nice greens. love this track but not too sure about the FootGolf that is beginning. Might be playing The Gold track from here on out when I come back.
New Patriot Course more playable, fun
With the removal of some 30 bunkers, an improved irrigation system and excellent turf conditions, the newly renovated Patriot Course at Wigwam Resort is very playable by all levels of players. My only concern is that the removal of the bunkers took away some of the definition of this little 6,000 yard gem, but it's a minor concern. The integrity of the course remains virtually unchanged and one of the my favorite holes, the short par-4 14th still has its signature bunkers.
