Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Holy pin positions Batman!
First time playing the shortest of the 3 Wigwam courses. Course itself was nice and in good shape. But whoever placed the pins today was either drunk or very angry at the world. Not a single flat pin placement and most were right on a crown that didn't allow for anything less than holing everything out. 5 foot putt uphill missed left a 10 footer coming back.
Poor value and out dated
This course needs a face lift. Poor layout and reminds me of a city owned course. Greens are inverted saucers and small. The course should be deemed 'executive' as it is too short for a regulation track.
Wigwam Golf Review
Enjoyed my golf at the Wigwam. Conditions were quite good. Was my first time there. I found the layout to be somewhat unconventional with a overlaping hole or two, cart path and irregation ditch obstacals in play. I would gladly return to have a 2nd go at it.
excellent condition!
The Patriot is in fine shape after over seeding, greens are rolling very true and not to fast, fairways and tee boxes look good as well, I love when care is taken with a course! the Wigwam is golf at its best
Okay but nothing special
We found the course to be quite damp surprisingly even before it rained. Fairways and greens were okay and the rough was quite long. The restaurant may have been the highlight of he round. Food was very good and it was an excellent place to watch sports on the 10 TVs in the room. Staff were also a plus for this facility.
Course conditions
Course was in very good condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Well Maintained
Very well maintained course and a very enjoyable experience.
Under construction/poor greens.
Disappointing. Many traps being redone - ground under repair. Worse than that is the shape of the greens: Brown, bumpy, and shaggy. I could have lived with the traps but I wouldn't have played there if I'd known about the greens. I'm told it's much nicer in season.
Great time
First time playing at the Wigwam. We played Patriot course. It isn't the longest course and only par 70, but you'll find plenty of tough holes out there. Fairways and greens were in great shape, best greens I've played in a while. Some bunkers are in renovation, but you get free relief from them. Very hot and humid day, made much better by the ranger handing out ice cold neck towels. Very friendly staff, and great practice facility. Definitely recommend this course to anyone!
Terrible
Stay away. Course in very poor condition, lacks yardage markers, hole description signs. Bunkers are like cement. Wouldn't play again even for free
Dont waste your $$
Absolutely terrible course....sand was like clay, tees and fairways were like playing an unkept municipal. Staff was fantastic.
Got paired with a couple of great young guys but, they must have lost a dozen balls. Just a terrible time playing a terrible conditioned course. Was ready to quit after 9 holes except the 9th hole was miles away from clubhouse. Finally got to the signature par 3 (pictured) , and it was right next to a par 3 from the gold course.......beautiful sand and lush green grass....poof...I was done.... total waste of my $$ and time. Not what I expected from wigwam.
very slow play
It took me and my wife 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes slowest play we have ever run into . Their was a twosome in front of us waiting for greens to clear on every hole even the par 5s. The rangers didn't say any thing to them. I didn't think my wife and I will be back . We paid for 18 holes but only played 9 couldn't see waiting a 1/2 hour on every tee box or taking 7 hours to play 18 holes
Good value
Great course. Two island greens. One surrounded by water, the other by sand. We had a great round. The greens were very fast. I would definitely play the Patriot course again.
don't let the lack of length fool you...
This Tiny monster will challenge even the best of players...only 6,000 yards from the tips (Jones tees) but that is not why you will remember it...the tiny, undulating greens surrounded by bunkers or water is the draw, or should I say, repellent...
Only complaint would be that they need to add sand to most bunkers since they receive a lot of play during most rounds played there. it can spoil the fun.
Bring your short-club A game or else...but also be wary of the long Par 3's...with those small green complexes, there are a few that can stretch to 200 yards...lob wedge proficiency required.
Day of Fun
Very nice time. Paired with an Uncle and 9 yo nephew. The tyke was good. We beat the rain.
Average course
a couple of holes have a strange layout. I only golf here when I can find a decent rate, otherwise the value does not correspond to the course.
beautiful setting & conditions. Nastalgic for me.
The service was as always very good. You have 3 courses to select . Your challenge is here! They have excellent lodging also.... I introduced this course to 2 of my neighbors.
Great day of golf.
I was a bit worried about how the day would go when I checked in at the clubhouse. I stated I was from Ohio and had never been there before and wanted to know I was in the right place. The person behind the counter was not overly pleasant and merely said "yes". Since there were three courses on the property, I was unsure where to head. The young man who loaded mine and my wife's clubs was friendly, pleasant and helpful. So was the starter once I found the right tee. Have been coming out here in April for 4 years now and this was absolutely one of the best courses we have played. Will definitely put it on our list to try again.
