About
The Gold Course is one of three 18-hole courses offered at the Wigwam Resort, which was named one of Golf Magazine's "Silver Medal Resorts." Golf Digest cited the Gold Course as one of the best public courses in the state. Mature trees are present on all of the courses, as well as winding creeks that create water hazards, which come into play on several holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course. The rolling landscape of the course causes elevation changes that can affect shots. The Wigwam Resort facility also has a putting green and chipping area.

Great shape and great staff
1 hour frost delay and still had a great time. Pace of play was good. Greens were quick and true. Staff was all friendly and welcoming.
Worth the money
Wigwam Gold course
Very nice maintained course. Was in great condition. Very challenging. Some of the staff were abrupt but the starter was very nice and helpful.
Good walk ...
Walked the Gold - in very good condition, even the bunkers. Pace was good, a little slow in spots but overall we played in 4 1/2 hours.
Great Course
First time at this course for me and my golf buddies. Played the Gold Course. Greens are really fast but got used to them eventually. We’ll maintained course. Enjoyed playing golf here!
Great course, great challenge
First time to play the Gold course. Was in fantastic shape. Very challenging pins that day. Course is Long. Almost 6,000 yards for the red tees and 7400 from the tips. This course will allow you to use almost every club in your bag by round end.
Great course
Awesome course, the golf course has a great layout and the condition was great. Saw the cart girl 7 times during our round. Pace of play was kinda slow due to a group of guys in front of us that couldn’t hit the ball more then 100 ft and then after making their putts they would pull the ball out and putt 4 or 5 more times. They wouldn’t let us around them. It was so bad two groups behind us called it a day and went to the club house on hole 9 Wish there was a Marshall to talk to about these issues or at least inform players they need to pick up the pace so the rest of the days golfers can enjoy themselves.
Big, updated midcentury-modern parkland golf
The Wigwam resort is surrounded by desert at the west end of the Valley of the Sun, but it was designed as a lush oasis. Its golf courses read that way as well, with the Gold being the biggest of the three. The recent updates to the original course are nicely integrated, though the bunkering looks like a bit of a departure from the original style at times. Still, the broad corridors and sweeping-contoured greens make it feel both friendly and challenging, especially if you're tackling its two enormous par 5s from anywhere near the tips.
Post-overseed, the late-fall conditions are lush, which means the course can play a little soft and slow until the winter turf is fully established.
