I’ve played this course a couple times. For some reason it still blows me away every time I go here on how the staff on this course act like it’s a 5 star course when it’s a 3-3.5 star courses at best. I’m even more that people might thing of joining a membership here. For $60k that’s insane.

Anyways… the greens were punched 2 weeks ago and they still look like they were punched two days ago. They were dry, burned, and honestly in bad shape for two weeks out. They punched the tee boxes recently too but that’s all they did. No sand, no leveling, nothing to even out or level the boxes. So we paid $88 a man to hit off bad boxes, bad greens, and get pushed off the first tee box “on time” so we could catch up to and wait on the group in front of us on hole 5.

To be honest, the only thing that was nice about this course was the range, the fairways and the cart girl. The rest was sub par. I’d like to see it to groundskeeper thing but my gut tells me it’s a management thing. Asking top dollar and spending bare minimum to get what they can.

Really just disappointing when the place really has potential.

Always liked this desert course. A good target course with lots of desert wildlife. Every hole is a different challenge, from elevated greens to over water to deep traps. All in a beautiful desert environment. Pricey now but worth the occasional trek!

Great views. One of the best.

Sand traps were wet. More dirt than sand.

Grees are elevated, which is fun. But covered with sand for the summer. Super slow and rough.

Great course, but the greens are a sandbox right. Which they did not bother inform us of. Might want to give it a couple weeks before playing

Had to play same 9-holes twice due to timing of season. Not as nice this time as one-month ago.

The course was nice and fun to play, however we were forced to play the back 9 twice since front 9 was closed. Would’ve never booked if we knew that. That info should be noted prior to booking. Tee boxes were ok condition, fairways were great, greens were just ok (lot of areas where grass hasn’t grown in well). Greens are fast though which I enjoyed.

Horrible greens. Staff doesn’t bother telling anyone when you call 2 days prior that you will only be able to play the back 9 twice as the front nine was closed. The greens are concrete. Worst greens I’ve ever played on. No matter how you hit your shot, chances are the ball isn’t staying on the green. Makes playing this game no fun. This is the second time I’ve played this course and the same green conditions. Won’t be back anymore. Also lovely cart service is done at 11am on a 105 degree day.

For playing in the middle of June, the course was in great shape. Greens with no dry spots & fairways lush.. can’t complain. I played The Boulders a week before & it was awful …..besides the giant boulders. Las Sendas was less than 1/2 the price and better in every way. Newer carts, great bev cart service, & awesome 19th hole. Only thing that needs upgrading are the tee boxes. Flatten those babies out & clean up a few edges & you’d have yourself one of the best courses in AZ.

I feel like they’re close to being great. The bunkers need work. Very course crusty sand with rocks in it. They’re well cut, just need higher quality sand.

I felt like service was a little lacking. There is a guy to clean your clubs on 18 but then you drive behind the clubhouse, grab your own bag and hike it a quarter mile up the hill to the parking lot. Easily fixed, a lil sign that says please pull your cart around back and an employee will wash your clubs and have them available near the bag drop for you to pull up and grab them.

Having spirits available on the course would be nice. I’m sure it’s a license thing but that can be easily fixed if they want to pay for it.

Overall good course. It’s hard, but we’ll layer out. Beautiful views. A few small things could make it great.

Greens were dirt. Off the green, burnt spots, bare spots, mud spots. If you want to play in 4 hours or less I'd play elsewhere. Their target is 4:15 not "keep up with the group in front of you". Embarrassing to see it that slow at 730a and that poor conditions when it hasn't been hot yet.

Course was in good shape NOT great shape, summer heat and greens okay otherwise I probably would have had to pay the $300 rate. SIngle player paired with another single and nice couple who were members. Other AZ single was surprised we were charged even the $87 due to course conditions. Nice layout. Tough time finding our balls due to lack of course knowledge. Still played BLUES. Probably played back nine better due to experience on the front. Would play it again, at the same price, Not one to pay $$$ for around regardless of where it is. #228 course I have played.
