Superstition Springs Golf Club

This has always been one of my favorite courses to play. I love the layout and it really fits my game. I know that keeping the water full in all the lakes is probably not worth the cost but when they were full the course just took on a whole other level of both play and appeal. The tee boxes are hard as a rock and you can’t hardly get a tee in the ground. The greens were really good! I made everything I looked at. The course will need plugged and sanded soon. Would love to see flatter tee boxes and more tee options that would help grass heal. Still one of my favorite places to play.

Starter and marshal need some help with public skills. Waiting every shot until the 13th then the marshal was super rude to us. He felt so bad for reaming is out he gave us drink tickets.

I love the layout of this course, but I will not be back. Every time I try to get a round of golf in on this course, I’m going to lose 5-5:15. Put a ranger out there to keep people on course so that the pace is not this slow. The course is nice & I love the layout, however I’ve lost too much time on this course & will not be back. There are just too many other courses that we can play in 4-4:20….. sorry. I won’t be back.

Excellent course and pretty challenging as well.Will be back again.

So now that we've played back to back 5 hour rounds we're done with this course, so frustrating, marshal says there's no gaps and pro shop says sorry.

Course was poorly taken care of, garbage in low pond areas, to many bald spots in and around tee areas, short on carts--had to carry bags back and forth from range. Have now played 3 more courses that were much better, Super used to be a primo course 15 years ago, just needs new management so badly.....

Frustratingly slow, had to quit on 16 after 4.5 hours on the course due to a dinner engagement. Marshall passed us by and said nothing, play got slower. Mentioned it to pro shop guy, he said sorry.

Course was in nice shape, too bad the waiting marred the experience.

The greens were very fast and in reasonable shape for playing later in the day. Most fairways were in good shape, but like most courses around here, there was little to no grass if you stray off the fairway.

We were told the beverage cart would be around, but we never saw them, and it was inconvenient to get something in the clubhouse. There course was very busy and the pace of play was almost 5 hours. Even our playing partners comented about the "death march" pace of play.

Very fun and challenging course with great mix of long and short hole distances, greens have good speed and well kept, bunker size and locations add big dificulty. However, 2nd cuts, roughs and bunkers could be improved for an even greater experience.

Read a lot of reviews recently about 5.5 hour rounds. Played in exactly 4 hours on a Friday morning 7:32 tee time. A very active Marshall was encouraging pace and to stay in touch with group in front. Almost felt little rushed, but would rather that than no on course pace management.

I thought course was in excellent condition, very green and lush where it should be, greens very smooth snd true, most bunkers excellent, however a couple of green side sand bunkers had water puddle accumulation. Overall, enjoyed it and recommend.

Green’s difficult to hit small and surrounded by trouble. Water hazards are dry or nearly empty. It use to be a scenic course now not so much. Pace was better today Monday very slow 51/2 hr round. Today 41/4 hrs.

I've played Superstition Springs 6 times in the last 5 years and the course is in the best shape ever. Greens were fast & true, fairways had no dry patches, trees & shrubs were well maintained. Also, the staff in the Pro shop & at the starter's table were fun & professional. Enjoyed the round and always find this course to be a pleasant challenge!

Arizona golf in the winter is what it is since COVID and Full Swing. You’re going to be over-paying to play anywhere. The course was in fine shape, had some barely legal pin placements, etc. My only real gripe is it seems they are irrigating with reclaimed water…or some other reason but many parts of the course just downright smell like a sewer.

The 17th hole is not designed for pace of play you have to walk back towards the fairway about 60 yards to go around the water to go to 18

I’ve played a few courses around here and have always thought that a pro would make it look easy. I have a feeling it wouldn’t be nearly as easy for them here. There are serious challenges. Tiny greens that break, lots of tough bunkers, tight fairways, and water everywhere. If the course was in better shape, it would be a diamond.

Good course based on location and price. Conditions were great and course was in good shape. Was pretty slow pace of play for a Monday, as it took 5 + hours to play.
