The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

You get what you play for.
Nothing pretty here. Lots of dirt, dry grass and gravel. It was an interesting course and nice to have a cheap course to warm up for the week.
Not what I expected.
Came from out of town, Midwest USA, and played multiple courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Staff was friendly but of the 4 courses we played, this was the worst. Greens were in bad shape and not worth the price we paid. Not close to "Country Club".

Ripping hard working good people off…
Todays times are already hard on everybody higher prices on just the essentials we need to live. I wanted to enjoy some golf at a good value at what was a great course. I am not sure what is the problem lack of stack lack of green keepers or just greed. The cart paths are a disgrace the rough is dust and dirt the course is far from a country club. The pro shop starter gets a zero too. I should have asked for a refund but am thankful like all golfers say a bad round golf is better than a day at the office. Overpriced cart prices. On a good note MB the cart driver was very pleasant and so was the gentleman that offered to wipe down my clubs at the cart drop off. I quit after 9 holes and won’t be back, thank you for asking for my review I hope it helps and changes are made for a better golf round…God Bless…

Course needs better upkeep
The course is in need of a lot of upkeep. Greens were in poor shape.

Terrible Greens
I’ve played this course several times in years past and I’ve never seen the greens in such terrible shape. Also the pin placement appeared to be strategically placed in the worst part of the green so that you would have to putt through the torn up parts. The back nine was better but still there were some really rough and torn up greens. Also we teed off in early afternoon and there was no beverage cart for the entire round. I’m not sure if will ever spend my hard earned money to play this beat up course again.

Course review
The course layout was actually enjoyable for a local “muny”. Lots of dirt areas around course but not bothersome in fairways or around greens.
Conditions of the greens were a bit rough in some areas but overall acceptable.
Based on the layout and price, we enjoyed playing there.
Pace of play on a Sunday was excellent .

Worst course I've played in a good while. Not well kept, patchy greens, and lots of dirt. Pass this one up, you'll thank me.

A Good Time
Everything here was good to excellent. The staff was great, helpful and professional. The greens were a little fast and had some damaged areas, but not enough to ruin most putts.
The pace was good. It was somewhat crowded, but there were no holdups.
I had an excellent time, and I would come back !

Fix your greens
I hold here fairly regularly and it is awesome. However, I paid almost $100 to play last weekend and the course was destroyed. The greens were dead and had chunks making it impossible to putt. Really disappointing for the cost.
