Ken McDonald Golf Course

About
Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

GolfNow mess up
Excited to play this morning, show up to the course an hour before tee time only to find out that Golfnow was told that a Junior tournament was scheduled and I should have been notified. Not notified, very upset because no golf available in Arizona on weekends on the morning you want to play. Only compensation offered by Golfnow is Hot Deal promo codes. Very few Hot Deals available worth playing around here.
Love Kenny mac
Always great for an affordable early tee time- never a delay! Fun track always in good shape
K McD coures
Somewhat disappointed after a couple of positive recommendations. We played Friday and found out at course that fri is weekend rates!
Disappointed
Course conditions have deteriorated since last played. Senior discount eliminated. Not worth the money. Won’t be back until and unless things improve.
Good Muni
Course was pretty wet and tee boxes a little rough, but that seems to be the case everywhere. Greens were fast and true. Staff is always great and hard to beat the cost.
Fair course, great people
The course is in fair condition like most courses after the very hot dry summer.
Great Value, Very fun course!
Perfect round today! The old lady starter was a bit cranky, but other than that I could not ask for a better round. The greens were rolling fast and the pin placements were challenging. I highly recommend playing this course!
Nothing wrong with average
Nothing wrong with this course. Very average and you get what you pay for. I’m newer to golf and I can tell this course hosts a lot of players like me. I would recommend if you’re looking for a casual course to work on your game.
Could use better Customer service
I booked a back 9 round last weekend. when I went to the clubhouse to pay for the round, I told the clerk I wanted to ride the cart. However, I was told there is a threesome with me- which is fine, but I was asked to ride with the 3rd player. In these days of pandemic, I did not want to ride with someone completely unknown to me, even though they offered a vinyl partition. When I told the clerk that I would rather not ride with a stranger, without hesitation the guy offered me a the refund. He did not even ask me if I would rather walk the course and that the walking carts were available. The quickness of refund offer came across as if he did not care that I wanted to play, and went through the trouble of booking the round online. I have played here quite a few times and the guy probably knows that too. But I thought that was pretty rude and/or oblivious of him to just ignore that I was there early morning and really wanted to play on the course.
