Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
About
The executive-length Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills (formerly known as Rolling Hills Golf Course) provides an excellent game and it is a very player-friendly course. True to its name, the course is quite hilly causing a few elevation changes and undulating greens. The fairways are lined with pretty trees, adding some challenge and beauty to the course. There are no water hazards but there are a few strategically placed bunkers to worry about as well as some out-of-bounds stakes bordering a few of the holes. Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills consists of ten par 3s and eight par 4s. On the premises there are also practice facilities, a pro shop, and an on-site golf pro.

For Dessert, I will have a Tee Time
This was a fun first time experience, but I do think it’s a little over priced for a Par 3 only course (at night). The holes were fair and not overly difficult, but there are A LOT of random range balls scattered around the course.
The staff was very friendly and informative, but during the cooler months of the AZ desert as you play later into the night you can expect the dew on the grass to form throughout your round. The course tends to firm up a bit in the “winter” month conditions. Definitely great option if you have never played in stadium lighting night golf conditions.
To be honest, I would prefer to come back, hits some range balls annd putts, and then have dinner, drinks and/or appetizers at the Glenrosa restaurant and take in the sunset and views.
Grassclippings
Super fun course even though it’s mainly par threes. Great target course love playing her best price in the valley and great bang for your buck
not again
this course was nice before the new changes now they have shortened all but a couple of holes and the conditions of the grass is subpar the music playing around the course is very annoying. the cart will stop if you go the slightest bit off line to bad this was a great place to go not at this price maybe if was around 20 bucks maybe but this was my last time
This course was not what I expected
I always heard this was THE cheap course to play at from friends back in college but never had the chance to. This was before it was bought out and became grass clippings. When it first opened up again I saw tee times were close to $100 which made me a little perturbed that it got price gouged like that, but I was wrong. They charge premiums for night golf as they installed lights around the whole course, but your daily and morning play is actually still fairly reasonable, especially when you get the tee time day before/day of.
I’m relatively new to playing golf and I’m proud to say I only lost about 3 balls on this course. Some holes are not forgiving whereas others are incredibly rewarding.
Never should be worth 130 at night
Honestly if this wasn’t on YouTube it wouldn’t even be played. Don’t even waste your time. Play it one time and you’ll see why.
Playing in the Dark
In Arizona playing at night is perfect. The weather was nice as we teed off at sunset and the lights lit up everywhere your ball should be. The vibe of the place with the music playing on the speakers everywhere was fun and made for a great experience.
Fun and challenging
A really fun and challenging par 3 course with a great layout.
Challenging holes
It make you play consistent from one hole to another. Most have excellent ball placement. I enjoyed playing here and I recommend friends to play here.
Fun course!
Good course, grass is well kept. Tee boxes are a little beat, but you can shoot off the turf if you want. Couple of greens are a work in progress. Finished in 3hrs just before it got hot. Haven't played here at night yet.
