Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
About
The executive-length Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills (formerly known as Rolling Hills Golf Course) provides an excellent game and it is a very player-friendly course. True to its name, the course is quite hilly causing a few elevation changes and undulating greens. The fairways are lined with pretty trees, adding some challenge and beauty to the course. There are no water hazards but there are a few strategically placed bunkers to worry about as well as some out-of-bounds stakes bordering a few of the holes. Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills consists of ten par 3s and eight par 4s. On the premises there are also practice facilities, a pro shop, and an on-site golf pro.

Have to do it once
Had to do it once but the pace of play is terrible. The bar and restaurant are cool just do t expect it to feel like real golf but under the lights is very cool.
Surprising treasure in heart of Papago Hills
Very nice executive course with excellent greens. Surprisingly well maintained course. We would return.
Great time
Had a awesome time playing at night only thing to course need is signs where the next Hole is
Fun and fast
Liked that there were some driving holes on an executive course. Play was very fast in the middle of the day.
Great track and love the concept of night golf in Arizona!!
Love what these guys have done with Rolling Hills. Challenging greens and just a fun course to play with decent views of Papago park and downtown Phoenix.
Rolling hills
Pretty short but has a couple par 4s.gets backed up on the 7th.great restaurant next to clubhouse. They gave you warm up balls😄
SLOW SLOW
2 6-somes teed off in front of us and by the back 9 it was an 8-some in front of us. Hit the ball 3 to 4 times then sit on the tee box for 10-15 minutes...4 1/2 hours to play an executive course...needle to say it is now on our DNP list
Nice executive course
I don’t live in the area. This is one of the first courses I play so I can knock the rust off my game and hit iron shots.
It’s overall a decent place to play. And it’s worth the $40 I paid (included cart and range balls)
My gripes are not about the course. It’s about pace of play. It’s awful. Never saw a ranger. To make things worst, I noticed several foursomes who decided to play as twosomes. I saw them leave the first tee as foursomes and then caught up to several groups of twosomes on the second tee. A ranger would have fixed this.
You can imagine how that backed up the course.
Enjoyed the short course
Staff was friendly and helpful as this was our first time playing this course. The pace of play was great, finished in a little over 3 hours. Greens and fairways were in good condition.
Night Golf
First time ever playing night Golf. Would recommend this to anybody.
T boxes and greens over used, slow play.
I want to like this course, beautiful scenery, nice outdoor bar and great smelling mesquite grilled food. Unfortunately the greens are hammered, probably from the near 20 hrs of play each day with the night golf, greens are like concrete and pin positions are extremely difficult on most holes, tap the ball and it runs off the green. - should be a fun fairly quick round since it’s mostly par 3’s , carts are gps'd and ours locked up repeatedly on the cart path…very slow play, waited nearly every shot. Range was also irons only..
What a golf experience!
On Tuesdays, late afternoon tee times you get to start on the back 9 so you can play all the par fours. What an awesome experience! Internally you feel rushed as the sun is setting, thinking you have to get holes in before dark. Watching the sunset, playing golf realizing you're good to keep playing after the sun goes down is awesome! What an awesome experience I go at least once a month now on tuesdays afternoons just for the experience.
