The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Potential
Ahwatukee Country Club has such potential. The staff is super friendly and their clubhouse is awesome. The course is in better shape than it has been but still has a lot of weeds and dirt patches. The greens are bumpy and improvements could be made on little things like trash cans, bathrooms and signage. I would love for the course to improve because I live in Ahwatukee! Price is too high but they seem to be really busy! They did buy new carts!!

Bad Weather Round
Rained pretty much for the whole round, so could slightly affect my review. Staff was helpful and friendly. Fairways pretty good, but bare dirt off the fairway. Greens may not be fully ready for spring play, the grass was spotty and the green was sanded.

Poor Desert Experience
I believe this course was once a great course, however to day it is just milking the public. It has a great friend staff my hats off them..
The greens looked good from a distances but once you reached them they were horrible not even the spayed green could save them. You needed an ATV for driving down the cart paths.
Now, if you're not on or in the fairways your in trash. About the only area that represent a golf course were some of the first cut around the greens.
Final assessment SAVE YOUR MONEY, AND BE A WARE MANY OF THE OTHER COURSES ARE ON IN THE SAME SHAPE.

Disappointing
The greens were in poor shape consisting of green sand in many places. Many places in the rough were unplayable. The starter was about as rude a person I’ve ever met on a golf course in phoenix area.

Disappointed
Considering the time of year we played and how expensive golf is are the high-end courses, this course was OK. Greens were very spotty and in poor shape which made putting frustrating. Tee boxes were domed making a level stance difficult. Probably would not play this course again in the future.

Cart guy started off by being rude, which set the tone. After waiting on every shot on the front, our foursome let the group of 3 behind us go through at the turn( even though there was no where to go) so we could use the restroom, and grab a drink. On our way to the tenth tee, we were approached by a ranger who wanted to know why the 3 guys were now ahead of us. He had some hair-brained idea we stopped for lunch, and informed us that we would now be behind 3- 4 other groups....Whaaaat? After assuring him that we just let those guys go in an effort to speed up play (there was NO speeding up play that day) he let us go. We quickly caught up and resumed Waiting on every shot.
That brings us to the condition of the course. Greens are easily the worst I have played on in quite awhile. Fairways were OK, but anything not in the fairway was resting on bare dirt or gravel. For the price we paid, a person should expect much more. We won't be back, and nobody I talk too will either. Way better options in the area.

Disappointing
This is my 2nd time since Jan. 2023. To start off the staff is great. I got checked in very quickly. I went directly to the driving range and to my surprise they added new mats and range balls. The previous time I was there the mats were warped and the yellow range balls were faded and bad condition. After that it was down hill. Pace of play was not good. it took us a, 4some 4hours and 50 minutes. There was a 3 some in front us you acted like they were the only group on the course. Then the 4some behind us hit drives into us twice. I told them that if the did it one more time I was going to hit it back to them. They claimed they did it hoping it would get us to play faster. We explained we had the group ahead of us slowing us down. They said we should play through or move up a hole. Only issue with that was that there was another 4some one hole ahead of the group slowing us down. I called the pro shop to complain and they said they would try to get someone out to check it out. That was after playing nine. No one from the course ever came out. The other issue was the condition of the greens. Several of them had huge splotches on them and appeared to be dried out. I was on golf now checking for a deal for next Monday and noticed that ACC had a deal for $88.00. I'm sorry but there is no way this course should be charging that much considering the condition of the greens. I will return before heading back home to Illinois to use the range but not for a round of golf.

Greens
Greens were sub/standard compared to previous years. Lots of rough and damaged greens. Putting was very difficult due to the shape of the surfaces.

First time - Last time playing this horrible course
You should be ashamed charging $95.00 hot deal for a course not worthy of $15.00.

Don’t let the words “Country Club,” fool you.
This place is a goat pasture. The greens have measles and the cart paths, where present, are demolished. They have no business charging more than $25. I will never play this course again.

no marshal
the round was way to slow.....almost 5 hours and when we teed off the course in front of us was open....played the first 4 holes in 30 minutes then gridlock. course is usually $75 per player...felt that i overpaid at $38...greens were bumpy and painted green. no way i would go back....as poopy as the course was, it was hard to play with no marshal moving the slow groups along.

The greens were terrible but it was fun
The course fairway was good. Sand was hard as a rock and the putting greens were just awful. But maybe it was just a terrible day? Proceed with caution if playing. ⚠️
