Poorly managed and over-sold tee times
extremely over-sold and long wait at tee. no management intervention when some people play 3x tee-off at each hole!!!
Slow slow slow
We quit after taking two hours to play seven holes. Overbooked. Had to wait for a cart to come off 18. No range balls because range was not picked . Same person did range and carts
A little dissapointing...
I played this course one week before their scheduled overseeding. The Greens were in good shape, but the rest of the course was lacking. For an executive course, the areas around the greens were very inconsistant, and the sand traps were attrocious, hard and borderline unplayable. I have played this course in the past(it had been about a year since the last time) and usually this course was in much better condition.
I understand that before overseeding a course can go through some phases where a course may not be pristine, but it is very unfortunate that Ahwatukee Lakes did not at least put a course condition alert on the available tee times.
Nice layout for an executive course
I played from the tips which makes this short course a great deal more challenging, since most of the greens are protected on two or three sides by bunkers. The design makes even short par 4 holes challenging since there are sharp dog legs, protective trees, lakes and green complex bunkers to offset what might otherwise be an easy course. I played in the fall, prior to overseeding, which may have contributed to the mediocre (and occasionally poor) fairway conditions. The greens were a bit fast, in decent condition, and featured many difficult pin locations where an errant putt could easily roll by far enough to result in a 3 putt. My score suffered, but I really enjoyed the outing. Finishing in less than 3 hours and getting low-cost tee times were a great bonus.
A lot of water features.
Good course for beginners & average players. Prices are great!!!!!!!!!
The course greens are always in good shape.
The tee boxes are in rough shape and are not flat. The fairways are in decent shape. The greens are always in great shape. Great challenging executive course with lots of water and bunkers. Excellent course for beginners and those who want to work their irons. For the money, you can't beat it. The course had not yet been overseeded at the time that I played.
The staff needs customer service training
This is not a great course, but you get what you pay for. I had a simple question about a promotional deal on this site. One of the staff members wanted to turn it into an argument. I had already paid for my green fees, range balls, and beverages before I even brought it up. The staff isn't interested in appeasing customers, and honestly one of them was very rude. I will not be going back to that course. There are way too many options in Phoenix for golf, so this one is off the list of potentials. The pace of play was terrible as well.
course was fun had alot of par 3's to practice your short game
course layout was very visible alot of bunkers and par 3's to give your short game a challenge.
