Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

More like a Muni course.
Very nice experience on very ordinary course. Our playing partners correctly identified the playing experience as very similar to playing a municipal course, Wide open with fairways running parrel to each other. Lots of golfers crossing fairways creates a "Grand Central station feeling at times. Great pace of play, friendly staff but not worth paying big $$ to play here. Our Rate was $30 which was great but would not pay much more than that.
Don't be misled by by the name
When we booked our teatime at this golf course we thought that we were going to play a Waldorf Astoria course. We were greatly disappointed to find out that the course has no starter, no ranger on the course, anyone can start playing at any time. We had people jumping in front of us on the back nine. Staff personnel were not friendly or helpful which is contrary to the other Waldorf Astoria golf courses that we have played. We will never play there again. If you are paying more than $40 for course, you are being ripped off.
Slow greens, mud bunkers, uneven and hilly tee boxes.
Played the Links at 7:00 a.m. and finished by 9:45. Greens were very slow. Tee boxes were uneven and hilly. The bunkers were muddy and seemed to be watered down. The listing said GPS was included and when I arrived they said that the service was cancelled.
Biltmore
Booked course thru golfnow.Price was $99.Resident rate was $69.Have to question why out of state/country player should pay $30 more!! Course (Adobe) was in excellent shape. For this price however one should expect GPS or yardage markers on course.
Great Sand Traps
Great course in excellent shape. Wide open fairways. Lots of trees and ample sand traps. Great mountain views.
Spring break
Greens were super hard and not receptive. Pace of play was less than 4 hours. Overall very nice and enjoyable. Not enough water to drink on the course.
Great course
Beautiful golf course. Would definitely play again!
Mediocre
Played the Adobe course. Very boring. Tee boxes not well marked. Fairways meander between houses with no aesthetic appeal & run along side each other.
Great place to play
The course was well kept. Fairways and greens in excellent condition as well as sand traps. Great value for the money and amazing scenery. Definitely will be back.
Disappointing
For the money this course did not meet expectations. But for two holes and an occasional view of the mountains it is not very pretty. The terrain is very flat and uninteresting. The deep bunkers that are around nearly every green provide the only real challenge. There are many other courses from which to choose in the Phoenix area that would provide a much better golf experience.
The heart of Phoenix
Surrounded by mansions and in the near distance the skyline of downtown Phoenix. Nice older course, wide fairways, few hazards, good course for the price paid.
Excellent Choice
Everything about my experience was positive. From my greeting in the Pro-Shop, to on-course staff, beverage staff....all were well versed in exceptional customer service. Value for the price was well worth it.
Classic gem
This beautiful resort course that has hosted. Uterus celebrities over the years did not disappoint. Beautiful rolling green fairways and undulating greens keep you on your toes. The homes surrounding the course looked like resort clubhouses with their vast yars, fountains, pools and cab an/guest homes.. No desert washes or dried out wastelands, if you were errant with a,shot, you simply played it out of the fairway you ended up in. Green, green green.
Nothing Special
OK course... would not pay 100+ dollars to play. You are paying for the name and history...not for a top golf course. No sand in bunkers. Other local courses are much better and will cost you much less. Golf here once if you must...then go elsewhere.
Great day of golf
We had a great time. Course and staff were excellent.
Pleasantly surprised.
Although this course is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in Phoenix, ( I read somewhere that Babe Ruth played the course) I hadn't played it in over 30 years. I was surprised .
No delays. Tee'd off on time, pace of play was very good especially for a weekend and in a tourist area.
Course was in excellent condition. The rough was long but playable, it was not unfair. The speed of the greens was ok but the greens were in really nice shape, well maintained.
Adobe
Pace f play was fine - finished in 3.5 hours. Conditions were good - a bit over watered, but the greens were fairly firm and had a good pace to them. Good value this time of year.
The Fairways were excellent.......
Always bring our out of towners to play here. The course history and surroundings add to the experience.
Biltmore
Very playable course for beginners but fun for more advanced golfers. Course was in very nice condition although greend were slow.
