Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort
About
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Good condition
It's getting hotter so the pace of play is better took only 3.5 hours and we didn't catch people until the turn. Greens are not the prettiest but the roll fast. Not a lot of spin though
Decent resort style course
Most bunkers had hard sand. Greens could be better. Decent course with shade overall.
Orange tree
The golf course was fine. Sand traps are hard as a rock they should be ashamed of themselves
Need a Ranger
No ranger once in 18 holes. Carts in front of us were driving on the par 3’s. Golfer playing in a wife beater and bare feet - is there no dress code? Twosomes were not paired up so we had three twosomes following foursomes. Cart girl had absolutely no idea of where to park to be out of golfers line off the box. As a positive course was in best condition we have seen in some time. Will we play there again - perhaps. Put your prices down and then put out only foursomes wherever possible.
Great day!
Nichole in the golf shop is very nice. Starters both good guys. Course in excellent shape. Pace of play great and Jessica the cart girl is a 10! Only complaint is one GPS on cars nor yardage on sprinkler heads.
Poor Customer Service from Director of Operations
I was part of a wedding group that had 17 people and we had the first 4 tee times of the morning. You would think that with the amount of people that came they would be ok with one group having 5 people if the rate of play was not delayed. No one from the course said anything the morning of and I ended up being part of the group that had 5 people. We played the front nine in 2 hours and 15 minutes and at the turn one of the rangers then had an issue with it. We said sorry and what does he want us to do? No one said anything to us. He drove off on his cart and on the 10th the Director of Operations John Jackson pulled up and right off the bat was extremely rude, yelling and threating to kick us off. I was not the one who made the tee times and that was my first time meeting 15 of the players but John Jackson directed all his rudeness towards me. He did not care to have a conversation, he then said we had 10 minutes to split the group up or be kicked off. We told him that we were not behind and had to still wait for the group ahead of us and that splitting us up would hold back the people behind us. He did not care. We split up and on the next tee box I turned around to noticed there was a group of 5 people playing another hole. I took a picture of them to show John at the end of the round. After a hole he came back and said we could go back to 5 so that whole mess was for nothing. At the end of the day, I went in to talk to him and show him the picture. He did not care so they must have been a member or friend. I told him he ruined my back nine and I wanted to be reimbursed for that. He literally laughed at my face and said no. He is a very poor leader and has no customer service skills. Looking at other sites and seeing their reviews now it shows there is a track record for this, and I will have no problem telling everyone I meet to never spend your money at this course. There are plenty of courses in AZ that treat people with respect.

Sand traps
Everything was amazing except the sand traps, hard as cement.
Standing around getting stiff
the front nine was a bit slow but was able to stay loose and play well. the back nine we stood on the t-box for long periods of time and got stiff and blew the entire day.
Don't know why it was so slow but I probably won't go back.
Orange Tree Experience
The Proshop, starter and course marshalls were all friendly and professional. The fairways were nice and plush and greens rolled a little slow. Great experience at the Orange Tree golf course!!
Unbelievably Slow
Course is in good shape, greens better than most I played recently. Moderately fast and true.
BUT, the course play unbelievably slow, over 5 HOURS. Too many Bachelor parties, they were teaming up and play 8 somes from the BLUE TEES, which they couldn't play even on a non windy day. Marshall tried to help but his 4 hour mandate was completely ignored. Need mean Marshalls, not nice guys saying please.
First off
Course was very green, almost too wet, but we did tee off at 6:10 AM. Staff was awesome…food cart came out for the back nine. Greens are ok, a little slow and grainy. Fairways are great, tee boxes need work. Traps get a back rap but they were good for us. Bit of a forgettable layout, many holes look the same. We paid $93 so not terrible. Played in 3:10 so that was the best part. Pro-shop was stocked!
