Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club

I purchased this golf round at a significant discount. Based on the condition of the fairways, greens, and sand traps, I was lucky to get the discount. The course is way overrated to pay the usual fee of $150. I would spend my money elsewhere before playing this course again.

Just the greens were extremely fast. The course is a little rough.

Played Front 9 of both courses!? Play was slow probably because of the difficult greens.

Too crowded. Allowed too many golfers and the pace of play was terrible. Other than that it was ok.

This course was pretty fair. Although located in Scottsdale, I felt the conditions of the course could’ve been a bit better. I noticed the grass was painted in a few areas which is fine in my opinion but others can disagree. Greens were inconsistent, some being very fast and others very slow. Each hole has good challenges and I liked the long par 3s. Overall good experience and staff were super friendly!

Nice layout. Course fairways had just been done a year ago so fairway grass still a little thin. Was happy to play with Jim and Tim who helped me navigate the course and were very enjoyable to play with. Greens very fast but in great condition. A great experience even though it had been a few months since I had played. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks

I really wanted to give this course a higher grade, as I was paired with decent people, and they allowed me to tee off early. Course conditions were good to great. My gripe was the course was that it played unfair in spots, as several times I hit the green, only to find my ball trickling down a sloped area into a water hazard. Maybe if I played it again I could minimize this, but something like this in my opinion seems unfair and leads to slow play.

Kinda gnatty tbh. I’ve played muni’s in the valley and they are in as good of shape.

Likely the good location and catchy name keeps the traffic up.

Re: “asterisk”: they are refurbishing 2 of the nines. And planning to do the other 2 nines next year. So depending on what they charge, may re-assess bang for buck.

I was worried about playing this course today after bad recent reviews and lots of rain yesterday. However, the course was in good shape considering the weather and the starter had us play the back 9 of both courses since they were in the best shape. It was a fun and challenging course with beautiful views and helpful staff.

Course was in rough shape. Greens were slow and bumpy, bunkers were hard packed and had standing water in them, big mud patches in the middle of the fairways, and were told by the starter right before our round that we were playing the front 9 of the palm course, and the back 9 of the pine course. None of this was mentioned upon booking or by the pro shop. Staff seemed annoyed that we were there. We paid $200 for two of us. With it being 115 degrees and the rough shape of the course, definitely not worth $100 a pop. I’m sure the course is great during prime conditions, but absolutely not worth playing over summer.

First no once of course having 9 holes on each side being shutdown. Major renovations with Jo notifications. Single who had to team up with two other singles and then fibaklynoass 4 frat bros playing in front who refused to acknowledge anyone elesnobbcourse and no granger to handle issue. Total course in bad condition whuu out would never ecommend this okace for the next two years as this will be going on for a long while. Off my list for a long time.
